It fit.
The filter works fine, but it was very difficult to install. Why Subaru made it necessary to remove the glove box in order to reach the filter opening. Yeesh.

Mostly good quality; removal lip breaks easily
good for a 2017 subaru forester, however one of the lips you have to squeeze in order to remove the filter snapped. otherwise great bang for your buck. super easy replacement; don’t give dealerships $50 when you can easily replace at home with no tools!

I replaced this myself and I know. iTunes about cars. It’s super easy to install and great value for the price. I have been scammed so many times when I get my oil changed they charge over $80 for this part plus labor. For my car it didn’t even require tools.took two minutes to install. Very happy and it seems to be working great
