Very tasty

The tin says "Rasmalai" but the contents are NOT rasmalai. They are flattened pieces of rasgulla. Moreover, the tin I received was badly dented. I was told by Amazon to return it and a return coupon was supplied. However, the shop where returns are accepted for posting refused to accept the tin as it was leaking tiny amounts of syrup. I gave up. All in all, a waste of money and time.

I have lived in Kolkata, the home of Rassagolla and Rassamalai. Rassagolla juice is made from sugar and round shaped Rassamalai juice of thickened milk and small round shaped or flat rounds The Rassamalai I ordered were with sugar syrup and flat shaped So what I actually got Rassagolla in another shape No doubt I enjoyed the taste and always love Haldiram but let’s not represent Bengali sweets in an incorrect way

The Rasmalai tasted OK. There was too much syrup and not enough Rasmalai. It was sugar syrup not cream.

Waste of time and money it's just rasgulla and not rasmalai.You need to prepare the malai.its hard and not worth the money you get softer Ras gulla from super markets to make ras malai.its not worth only 2.5 or 3 pounds. pounds

Around 8 flattened pieces of rasgulla in a ton of sugar syrup is what this is. I rarely write reviews but I felt the need to write this one for my Indian food lovers. You would be better off getting it from a local shop if you are in such an area. However, if not, then just assume you are buying flat rasgullas or else you will be disappointed. You can use the remaining syrup elsewhere though to feel a bit better

The dish is marketed incorrectly as this is not Rasmalai. Rasmalai is creamy with soft sweet cheese made from milk. This is not that dish. This is a bengali dish called Rasgulla. They are not the same. Three stars because the dish itself was not bad.
