So sweet! I bought this to read to my little IVF baby, and it was so perfect. I even bought one for my best friend to read to her baby. It goes through multiple stages of babyhood to toddlerhood and all the things parents might encounter with their children that could require prayer. I love it so much.

This sweet picture book shares about different moments in a child’s—or, em, baby bear’s—life, from walking for the first time to getting their first ouch to dressing themselves to heading off to school alone. Each of those moments are accompanied by a short rhyming prayer. And the illustrations are delightful, capturing the tone and writing beautifully with a calming color palette in what looks to me to be watercolor.

Such a nice and well made book.

I adore the layout with prayer boxes scattered throughout. The beautiful love and committed prayer by the Mama bear and the contentment of the baby bear is lovely. Sweet illustrations complete the experience of reading this book. Kids will want to read and reread this book.

When my husband and I found out our adoption year for our province had come up, we wanted to start building our library. Unless specifically stating adoption, it's hard to know what is actually appropriate and what isn't. This story starts out, "Before you were born, I asked God for something special. I asked Him for you. 'Dear loving Father in heaven above, send a sweet baby for Mama to love.' The first time I held you in my arms, you fell asleep all snuggly-cozy. And I prayed. 'Thank you, dear God, for this cute, cuddly bear. May my little one know Your love's always there.'" It also mentions first wobbly steps, first prayers, first time saying no, first time seeing a butterfly, the first time being hurt, first time dressing by themselves, and the first day of school. Our adoption will be for a child under two, so I don't know how appropriate it will be for every situation, but it's a sweet book, and we'll have our firsts together to celebrate, so I'm not going to overthink the book too much, especially since it mentions school, and that will be a few years off as well for us.

Its really cute and this book is definitely our new favorite! As a mom Im emotional reading it for the first time! My kid loves the bears inside tho!
