Awesome!!! Love it.
Im a Semi driver and i was looking for a small practice amp for the road. Some like this model but from other brands are double or more in price. I play bass and it works for my needs very well. Construction and quality is really good.

Well built, nice D.I. but speaker sim poor
No bypass for speaker sim. Higher gain sims are pretty noisy. Well build and performance as D.I. very good. Sounds best in bypass mode.

Love this amp(s) in a stompbox
Very well constructed. Sounds great, simple to configure. I'm 40 and don't have time to screw around with all the new software amp sims etc, they sound good, but you'd waste a lot of time dialing in your sound. I love the simplicity of this device; a couple knobs and some switches. Just plug in and play. I'm going to use as a DI for recording too. It plays well with my ME-50 multi-effects. For the price, it can't be beat. There's a similar unit, different brand, that's about double the price! Try this out first and return it if you don't like it. I love it.

Great tones, easy to dial in
The range of tones available thru this thing is amazing. Great piece of gear.

Hard to dial
I had high hopes for this emulator. It is the fifth such pedal I have purchased since my decision to stop lugging amps around. The palmer is well made with solid switches, knobs and buttons. Everything you'd want a good pedal to be. But, dialing the sound is difficult as it only has two tone knobs. Treble and bass. It is possible to get a nice clean tone, but the built in distortion settings or adding drive pedals to it, just causes it to become fizzy and thin sounding. I typically play my Gibson studio 50s tribute Les Paul with p90s in it. You may have better luck with humbuckers or a strat. The feature set, especially the headphone out and the aux in are the main reason I bought the Palmer. But I just couldn't get past the sound of the thing. Good idea, needing refinement.

Nice Little Amp
First of all the description is wrong in that it is not "Made in Germany" but in China if that matters to you. The sound is very clean and mine has no hum or noise, I use it for bedroom practice and it is a significant improvement over an amp plug like the Vox unit I own! I like the differences in the tone that I can achieve via the controls ranging from a very clean sound to heavy crunch. Overall a very nice gadget and hard to beat at this price! I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because of NOT being made in Germany as advertised!

Bye bye amp
Got tired of lugging around amps. This does the job and handles pedals very well. Sound men love it!

pretty nice piece of guitar gear for the price, DI pedal, amp sim, analog circuitry
it's a pricey bit of hardware but I quite like it. you get the following things all in this box 1. pocket amp that can run off 9V battery of 9V AC adapter (negative center iirc) 2. analog tweed, recto, and marshall sims with some mic placement bits and stuff, treble bass volume and gain knobs. 3. effectively a DI pedal since there's XLR out and bypass foot trigger personally i think the amp sims are pretty good, doesn't sound nearly as digital as some of my modeling stuff, but i feel like the recto could be heavier or stronger, for lack of a better word. But for the price, they're pretty good. The box feels pretty good to hold, not cheap. IMO the pocket amp mk2 is excellent if you're looking for a decent pocket amp, could use a DI pedal, or need some versatility in your pedal board. Based on what i read online, some ppl use it for backup at gigs, but i'm just a bedroom John Petrucci wannabe, so I have little to say about that.
