I bought one of these hats or one very similar in 1968 during my tour of duty in Osnabruck, I then bought another during my tour of duty in Munster in 1976 Nd then another during my tour of duty in Paderborn in 1992. My father and a brother took my hats because they are brilliant. Value for money, warmth on the head and although the hat sent to me was too large I’ve had to return it to the supplier I will be back to Amazon to purchase a size 57. Regards Ron Cairns

I bought this hat to replace a corduroy Prinz Heinrich I bought in Bitburg Germany back in 1977 during my tour in the US Air Force. That one is still in great shape but it's gotten too tight. Either way, this new cap seems to be of decent quality, it's made in Germany, and I'm very happy with it, looks just like the ones I remember from Germany 48 years ago. It's very lightweight so it's comfortable. People seem to like the style of this hat very much, as they always comment when I wear one out. Hats are not cheap, but cheap is not what I was after. The care with which this was packaged tells me that they truly care about their product and they want the customer to get the product as advertised. They nailed it.
