Good for the price
Not the fastest, but it is a 20 dollar SSD after all. Put it in an old laptop to get it running again, has worked great so far.

Great company!! (Was: Failed after 2 months)
UPDATE: My original review is below. If you read it, you can probably tell I was done with this product. But the manufacturer reached out to me to make this right. They never asked me to change my review, but based on their actions, I feel I owe it to other customers to update this...as well as to Leven. They voluntarily replaced the drive with a new one!The new drive is working 100% perfect after some stress testing. So my original impression was related to the unit I received...not a general assessment of their product line.Working with Leven to return the faulty drive and coordinate the new unit was super easy. This is a good company standing behind their product!-------------- Original review ----------------------I purchased the 4TB version to use in a Proxmox virtualization server. Upon initial setup, it worked great. But after ~2 months of use (and after the return window closed), the drive began having issues. It heated up so it began to stop responding to the controller and I encountered many many errors & timeouts.I finally replaced the drive with a Samsung 2TB ... smaller, but I couldn't afford the larger 4TB.So now I have a useless $300USD flaky drive. So frustrating...

DO NOT BUY! No warranty, no support, they don't even answer emails.
Update June 2024:Manufacturer has stopped replying to my emails. It's clear that they have no intention of supporting their products in any way. It's unclear to me if the drive ever fully worked even when new. Don't waste your money here.----------Update May 2024:Manufacturer refuses to honor their "warranty". I've been going back and forth with them in email since my last review. They have yet to take any action and keep asking me to do impossible things before they'll give me service (for example, I don't have a Windows computer, but they keep insisting that I run some Windows program before they'll do anything).----------Update Feb 2024:It's dead. Now it's nothing but I/O errors, timeouts, and system exceptions in the kernel log. It's spent its entire life in a USB disk enclosure on a shelf at 18°C.The enclosure that it's in has been experiencing instability over the last several months. I assumed the enclosure itself was the problem but after doing some troubleshooting, it worked fine once this drive was removed. I assume it's been dying for a long time, maybe since I bought it.----------Original Review January 2023:Pretty OK large capacity SSD drive for storageI've been waiting for large-capacity SSDs to come down in price for a long time. I saw this 2TB for $60 on sale and figured I'd give it a try.I'm looking to replace my RAID of spinning disks in my my long-term home storage with a few SSDs. In theory, if you primarily read from them, SSDs should last an extremely long time - even QLC drives like this one. This should make them perfect for long term archival storage with few writes. and lots of reads. And since they shouldn't fail ever year or two like mechanical drives, they won't need to be in a RAID, which means I won't need to buy twice as much storage as I need either.I'm testing this one out as my media drive and using it to store my movie collection.- The drive isn't screaming fast like the more expensive drives. However, the read speed has been consistently "fast enough."- Writes are fast, until they're not. Once its internal cache fills up, the drive's write falls pretty fast. Sustained write performance can drop to 10 MB/s or less. This is a bit frustrating when I'm filling up a new archival drive - 1 TB all at once is likely the worst-case workload for write performance. But now that I've done that, I don't notice write problems much. I also think I'd probably notice less if I were writing smaller files.I've been using the drive for about 3 months now. While I wouldn't recommend this as the boot drive on a high end gaming system or developer workstation, I think it would be great in a game console, in a media server, for archival storage, or even as the boot drive in a typical home user's PC or laptop.Quibble:Two of the threaded screw holes for mounting the drive from below weren't machined correctly. The screws only go in about half as far as they should. My drive trays mount from below, and two of the screws didn't sit flush with the tray, which made the tray not fit in my drive enclosure. I left those screws out (not a big deal - two screws is plenty to hold this drive in place).

Works as it should. Just what I needed!
Needed an inexpensive SSD for a very basic computer setup to stream movies. Has been working as it should. No complaints. As easy to install as any other hard drive. Speed seems good.

I can only give 4 stars.
UPDATE: Received my replacement drive today, popped it in (same slot as previous drive) and had it initialized and formatted withing a matter of about 30 seconds. Conclusion:Don't buy if you are in dire NEED of a SSD.DO buy if you are wanting to swap a working disc or upgrade storage.Good drives, but I had a bad (NEW) one, out of box.My first purchase was a great experience!I know another consumer stated they performed a stress test that killed the drive when trying to process 2TB of data. I've used it for gaming and storage and it's been great for both.I purchased a second 2TB SSD and was excited to have the expanded storage for even more computer hobbies. However...I discovered the second drive I received was faulty... As in, Windows recognized it for the first minute of loading and then the device disappeared from Device Manager (or Disc Manager, or other disc partition applications), I was unable to initialize > format > use the drive because of this...I was replacing a drive when installed, so I knew the cables and connections were already good, but I attempted to swap cables and swap SATA ports with no luck. As I continued to troubleshoot and restart the PC each time it seemed like the drive was gone more quickly. Until finally it just wouldn't show up in BIOS, Disc Manager, or Device Manager. When I unplugged it it felt very warm near the ribbon cable connection. I also touched the active LEVEN 2TB (I've had for a few months) and it was cool to the touch. That was enough for me to deem this a faulty drive. Waiting for a replacement. That being said, this drive is currently a 50/50 on will it work, but as far as WORKING performance, I'm still very pleased with the drive.

Worth it
Going on a year in a gaming laptop (not using this drive for games) Does what it is supposed too, for the right price.
