Excellent.
Although there are cheaper versions available, there's no substitute for the quality of workmanship or material used. My last one lasted 10yrs with twice yearly clean and wax before some low life thieved it.

Is the quality slipping? And why so expensive?
About 10 years ago I bought one of these for the lofty sum of £25. Dispute abuseing and not properly maintaining it it breezed through. I only find myself replacing it as some pond life dicided that they took a liking to it too. Needless to say I nearly dropped through the floor when I saw the price tag, what justifys the doubleing in price because I see the standards have dropped considerably. My hat arrived covered, COVERED in mould, that did not happen during shipping, it was sent like that. I should have returned but due to the bot chat and trouble returning on here before dicided to clean and rewax it myself as I just wanted my hat back. Time will tell if it lasts as long as the old one. Now to reacuire my hat pins!
