this cable is great, I use it to tether my camera into a laptop or workstation, but you could use it for anything where you need a long cable. 5 meters, or 16.4 feet, is the longest length of cable allowed by the USB 2.0 specification without some sort of repeater or amplifier. Its been hard for me to find 16.4ft USB cables and this one fits the bill nicely. If you're a photographer who shoots tethered to a computer this cable is an absolute must. add in an amplified repeater cable such as 10 Meters (32 Feet) USB 2.0 Active Extension / Repeater Cable A Male to A Female and youcan get close to fifty feet of cable. I use this cable and the amplified cable linked above extensively and they are great.

Works good to charge a PS3 controller and is long enough that if the battery dies in the controller you can sit on the couch and charge while playing. After buying another brand that did not work out of the box it was nice to open this up and have no problems.

5 meters is right at the limit of USB 2.0's design length. In fact, some devices won't work at a 5m cable length. Unfortunately, that was true of two of my devices, although the rest seem to work OK. My ZWO ASI120MC camera will not function with this cable, nor will my Canon 550D DSLR in liveview mode. Everything else I have seems to work OK, including other cameras, so I'm putting it down to the cable length itself, as used by those two devices. They both have pretty high bandwidth usage.

I bought this cable for tethering a Nikon D7000 to my Macbook. I can say that it works flawlessly! I purchased a cheaper 15' USB cable here on Amazon that did not work at all. The quality of this cable is good and connectors seem very secure. I'd recommend this cable for anyone wanting to tether their camera to their computer.

The cable is thick gauge - I was impressed by it's weight in my hand. While I didn't didn't disassemble it to verify; I'd guess it's built with solid core annealed copper wire. Connectors are molded, sturdy and gold plated. It's of the best USB cables I've ever used.

I used this cable on a few commercial shoots before it broke and stopped working. The Mini-B fitting is very loose and eventually it just stopped working all together. Wish I could get a free replacement but the return window on this item has closed.

These cables are LONG! That's what I needed to wrap around the desk from my computer over to the opposite side of the desk, and it worked perfectly! Transmits data and power perfectly without any issues. Will buy again if I ever need another USB cable this long!

Gets the job done. Transfer time is a little slower then I'd like. I wonder if a better quality cable would boost speed? Anyone know?

Mi cable de dashcam se daño, entonces necesitaba un cable largo para poder conectarlo a la corriente del carro y esconderlo por las orillas de la puerta, honestamente es mucho más largo de lo que imagine, es resistente y grueso. Lo recomiendo si buscas un cable largo.

Sin problema de transferencia de datos ni energia pese que es un cable largo, lo uso en temperaturas por arriba de los 50°C y sin problema

Muy bien cable, 5 metros es más que suficiente para cualquier uso en casa. Tiene un grosor adecuado y parece que va a durar por mucho tiempo.
