This pole measures a whopping 12' when fully extended. I bougth it with this brush: Hydro Tools 8235 10-Inch Professional Floor and Wall Pool Brush and it works perfectly. However, it WILL NOT fit the cheap tools included with SummerScapes cleaning tools such as nets and vacums. This pole's diameter is much wider. The pole is made of what seems to be aluminum, but I could be wrong. It is light and a bit flimsy, but at this price, it is more thann perfect for my needs. I was looking for a cheap alternative to other more expensive, not so needed poles and this one fits the bill quite nicely. It has two adjusting knobs to to extend it to its max length and vice versa. It is easy to manage and manouver while cleaning; I didn't suffer from arm fatigue or had any difficulty while setting it up. A perfect product for the right needs. A final note. Amazon tried their best to protect the pole from damage during shipping, they stuffed a lot of packing heavey duty paper, but the pole still came with a small bent a the main opening, it was small and easy enough to fix. The material it is made of is thin (not too thin of course) and easy enough to re-adjust/fix.

I've gone through several pool poles because they were either cheap and would dent and bend over time or they weren't long enough. Not anymore! This pole is very nicely made with thick aluminum, so it holds up well. It's also plenty long for my large pool. I can reach any part of it with the great extension this offers. The pole stays good and sturdy when extended too. the turn knob to lock has a nice grip and hold the pole in place well. An added bonus is at the end where the attachment goes, there are these clip covers which help big time with getting the attachment on and off. No more fighting with those white plastic clips. The only possible negative is that the pole is slightly heavier than my old one, but that's because it's made a lot better...well worth it! If you're looking for a good pool pole, get this!

Hasn't broken or rusted or anything.. I just recently moved to FL and purchased this for my pool since the previous owners used a pool service. I was skeptical with some of the reviews but like most amazon purchases i figured ill try it if it doesn't work i will send it back or just call it a loss. Well as soon as i received it I went right into my backyard and started getting all the nature preserve pine needles and maple leaves out of my pool. Yes i used this along with the hydro tools rake net and skimmer net as well, obv. LOL. I've used this everyday since, no screen enclosure yet so of course it's getting a lot of use! (Not only that because the trees are on the nature preserve there is no cutting them down!) If you go with anything go with this pole and these 2 attachments as well.. The rake is awesome because it has a lip so when you just walk along the pool it picks up the pine needles and leaves that went to the bottom. The skimmer i use for the floating leaves and bugs that fly into the pool. The pole also extends at 2 points, you just unscrew the white parts and make it shorter or longer to what you need. I have to disagree with the reviews who say this is a flimsy pole. It is very solidly built and fits together very well. The one gripe I have is that you can pull the two halves of the pole apart when you're extending it to it's maximum range. They should have built it with a bump-stop. To be clear, it does not come apart during use; it can come apart if you pull too hard when you're extending it. All you have to do is reinsert the smaller half and twist the handle to lock it in place. Once locked, it's sturdy as a solid pole and works extremely well. PROS: Sturdy Attractive blue finish Extends to 12 feet CONS: Have to be careful when extending the pole to maximum range The Bottom Line: This is a good value pole. Very sturdy and easy to use. Just make sure your accessories are made to fit this size pole.

So this is my review of the Hydro Tools 8350A Value Pool Pole, 3 Piece, Mill Finish. We picked up this pool pole to go with the new Catfish Pool Vacuum that we got for the pool. This fit perfect on the vacuum. This has 3 pieces to it and you can adjust the length from a mere 4 feet to 12 feet long. There are dual locking Cams at each section so your can make a tight hold at the length your choose. Very sturdy and does the job! My remarks are sincere and my own. This pole seems to be just what I was looking for to replace the cheap aluminum pole I had been using to clean my pool. After only a few uses, the aluminum pole that this one replaced had bent so it was hard to retract all the way and was already failing at the attachment end. This pole is a little heavier but seems to be more sturdy and given it's fiberglass, shouldn't bend or break easily. It works well (the screw adjustment piece holds firmly and the attachment end appears to be made of heavier steel which is great), but the best part was the price. It was less than half the price at my local pool supplies store.

Ours just broke after 14 mths but keep in mind we only use it in the summer months and a few times a week. The plastic part which allows you to extend and tighten it has cracked so I need to replace it. You can’t tape it up unless you’ll always use it at that length

Exactly what I needed to fit the Catfish Battery Powered Cleaner Pool Vacuum. It didn't come with the pole and this is what it recommended. Fits perfectly! Very strong and sturdy. Shipping was delivered by FedEx so make sure your home.

Nice sturdy pool and easy to adjust length

Pros: It's a blue aluminium pool pole. Just like every other one. It telescopes. And has holes to clip attachments into. Cons: It required a scheduled delivery due to size of it. But oh well.
