Precise Heat Roasting Pan with Rack and Lid, T304 Stainless Steel Multi-Use Oval Dutch Oven, 18 Inch, 14 Quart

I ordered this based on one review it had here on Amazon (and attracted initially by the price). I had been shopping for a stainless steel roaster for awhile and was drawn to this for the price (many others of smaller or similar size cost a lot more money). For its first use, I had a 27-pound turkey, but would recommend a smaller one - the 27-pound turkey fit fine but almost had a disaster with an overflow of juices during baking. So unless you can keep an eye on it, would recommend a 20-22 pounder. This roaster is a work of art, it is a joy to cook in and to look at as well. It is so beautiful that after I received it, it sat out on my counter for a week so my family and I could admire it. My family and I would get a kick out of any vistors we had during that time as they also would be drawn to it - would pick up the lid, look inside and admire it also - many times just out of the blue, not saying anything beforehand but just upon noticing it sitting there. It has that space-age type of rounded oval design, is extremely well put together and comes in its own sturdy plain white box (inside the cardboard packing carton) which I use for storage. I am always looking for an excuse to use it, it not only works well but is quite stylish and I have used it right on the fanciest-set tables to many compliments. The stainless steel is a very thick grade, it is very heavy (13 1/2 pounds), it cleans super easily (sometimes with a just a little soaking, a non-scatch scouring pad and occasionally a little Barkeeper's Friend) and looks like new every time I put it away waiting for the next use. The rack is strong and sturdy and I have used the rack separately in other more shallow pans for this reason. I am in the process of converting over to all stainless cookware and this is one item I consider one of my better deals. If I had a glass-fronted cabinet, it would be on display there all the times I am not using it, I think it is that pretty. If you've been considering going over to stainless steel for a roaster, you cannot beat this one for a great start. It was shipped fast and securely and I had it in plenty of time for Thanksgiving even though I ordered it only 10 days before.

This is a gorgeous cooking vessel. The pan is large and great for a big turkey or a lot of anything else. The lid flips over for serving. I’m really impressed!!

This roasting pan is fantastic. Turkey came out perfectly roasted brown moist. Even better the juices flowed to bottom and made it easy to utilize for the gravy. Very easy to maneuver and baste. Sturdy. The lid made a great server

This is a beautiful roaster! I've had it less than a week and have used it several times. It roasted a turkey great and when the bird was resting (on the very nice pull out rack) I made gravy in the pan - great. It fits so nicely on two burners on my stove. Right now I have stock going from the leftover bird and it's been simmering for about 9 hours - doing great too. I made a huge batch of chicken noodle soup - worked great - with no spills and a very large amount. I also served corn on the cob in the lid, it just happened to be there after braising meat - it worked and looked great!! We have a large family and this pan is so wonderful. It washes up great - although it is big so it should be last. It also cooks great and is nicely made (even though China). Well worth the price and no teflon or aluminum. This is a good one. One final thing, as another reviewer stated, I washed it with vinegar and warm soapy water before the initial use and I do think it helped get some oily residue off from the factory. I will use this pan for years!!!!!

Item was too small for the Bird Well made

I'm SO glad I took a chance on this... seriously. It's beautiful and it cleaned so easily I couldn't believe it. I was looking at All-Clad, Viking and a few other roasters and if I had bought one of those over this... I would be kicking myself right now. Cooking times were right on what I expected they would be but I cook by thermometer probe not by time anyways. I'm not quite sure what happened to that person that said they had to extend their cooking time ridiculously long because it insulated the food from the heat in the oven. I did not have that problem. The thing is, this roaster is beautiful, my food came out perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Can you cook a turkey that will feed 12 people in this? Probably not. What I was looking for was a roaster with a flat based lid that I could cook for 1-6 and multipurpose the lid when I so desired. That's what I got. It is great quality, nice looking, no branding and I'm sure this will last for a lifetime. I'm looking forward to more turkeys, roast chicken, carnitas, roasts and any other excuse I have to use this. Don't hesitate... the utility and price are so right on with this purchase.

For years I had a large aluminum roasting pan which was really hard to clean. After making my last turkey in that pan and trying to clean it, I decided enough was enough and went to Amazon to see if I could find another. Reading reviews I determined to get this one. I have to say I love this pan. While it doesn't get used as often as everyday cookware, it does it's job when needed. It is heavy duty stainless steel. I have used it to make prime rib and also Thanksgiving turkey. I think the last turkey I used was 17 lbs. and it fit nicely however I don't use the lid. It comes with a rack which is really nice. The handles make it easy to lift the food out of the pan. The lid can be used as a chafing dish. I have used it to cook the au jus from the prime rib on my stove top. Both the lid and the roaster have a thick bottom for even distribution of heat. The best thing is it cleans up really easily. The finish keeps things from absorbing into the pan which the aluminum one was famous for. This is a great roasting pan.
