The V3 pro is a premium keyboard with a superb finish and very nice keys. I have compared this to the Corsair K70 Pro, Das Keyboards (Prime 6, Prime 13 and the 5QS), Razer Deathstalker V2 Pro and Roccat Pyro. In my opinion this keyboard has the best quality finish, followed closely by the Corsair. The lighting is excellent and plenty bright for me, but this is not one of the brightest keyboards and there are reasons for this. The lights are enclosed in a black plastic under the keys which minimises light bleed. In fact, there is hardly any - just a shadow really. From right above the keyboard you can see some bleed but not for day to day use. Some manufacturers use a bigger key font. This is different from the majority of RGB keyboards out there, where the lights are enclosed in a translucent plastic to maximise the brightness, or have bigger gaps between the keys. For me, this keyboard has the best lighting as the lights just add to the premium finish. The Das keyboards also have minimal light bleed as the keys are enclosed in the case. If you only want a white backlit keyboard, then consider the prime 6 or 13. My partner has the 13 and she prefers it to the V3 Pro. For me, I dislike the light bleed and find it annoying, especially when I set the keyboard to white and end up with a horrible blur of whitish/blue/red/green dependant upon the manufacturer. The white on the V3 Pro is very good, but from above there is a hint of red. Other positives - being able to set the keypress distance is nice. For me that's a set and forget and I've just left it on default. The other features are not really worth it for me. High quality volume wheel. Haven't noticed any ping from the keys when typing, unlike some others I've tested. The negatives - A little coil whine when cycling colours. I have noticed this with other manufacture keyboards as well, but maybe not as much with them. Either the laser etching on a few of the keys isn't perfect, or the light just doesn't quite reach the corners. This is really minor, however. Software. Had problems getting the software to work and ended up reinstalling several times. Kept on losing the colour profiles I'd set up. It will not save your colour profile to the keyboard, so you will need the software running unless you are happy with the colours cycling. All in all, a great keyboard and worth the money.

This keyboard has been an amazing upgrade from my Razer Blackwidow. It is simply the most responsive keyboard I have ever owned. The switches are very tactile and provide some good feedback. Microinputs are very accurate too. The build quality is a great improvement on previous Razer keyboards. Out of any of them I would choose this one.

First off, what we all came for... the clicky keys, yes, they are very clicky, but moving on to the actual details about how the keyboard will feel in a few months or perhaps years... The cable - The stock cable is VERY sturdy, can't fault it one bit, once it clicks in, you wouldn't even realize it could be detached. This will likely not require a replacement cable anytime soon. The keys - the keys also can not be faulted in my opinion (or can they). Razer weren't lying about how they can really increase your timing when it comes to pressing the keys. From my personal experience, the response time is very good and I have even clicked the spacebar by accident by just simply moving my hand across the keyboard, it's very easy to click these keys by accident I guess is what I'm trying to say... Size - If you don't have alot of room on your desk then this is definitely the right keyboard for you, it's compact, sturdy and great for all the family! (Jokes aside, it's very small and brilliant for saving space) The lighting - okay, this isn't too important but definitely worth noting, from my personal experience, Logitech lighting is better when it comes to keyboards, and this keyboard is no exception. Is the Razer huntsman mini's lighting bad? No, not at all, it's actually good, but past Logitech keyboard users could likely spot the difference when it comes to brightness and colour transition smoothness, but will this affect your gaming? Unless you live in a dark cave, I'd say no. Software - Synapse is the lighting software and is pretty easy to manipulate, good pre set colour cycles for you to pick from and play around with, but for a large and innovative company like razer, I'd like to have seen them allow each individual key to be coloured differently for alot more colour options, but more importantly... uniqueness! Cortex is another software provided by razer and I love it, it optimizes your games and closes background processes to boost your frames and overall performance. This software also allows you to select if you wish to play for competitive performance or visual quality and will then suggest the settings you should have set, all while conveniently telling you what frame rate you could expect to see after the changes. I use it everytime I launch a game. My one problem - to many this will not be a problem, but to many other people that want a solid, none wiggly/ rattly space bar... (You know what I mean 🥲)... Unfortunately this spacebar does wiggle, shake and rattle like all others. Once again, for a company like razor, I want to see a space bar that doesn't wiggle and is just STILL and SOLID for a PREMIUM feel as that is what we want. Overall I'm rating this keyboard 5/5 as functionality is Key (pun intended), but I definitely would like to see the changes I noted such as lighting and complete key solidity implimented. I hope this was enough to give you your final decision to buy or look elsewhere (maybe Logitech perhaps if you want brighter and more fluid lights). Thankyou Ladies and Gents.

Amazing keyboard, sounds great, feels great… can’t complain. 179.99 reduced to 115 is a great deal and cannot beat the price anywhere else brand new. Functions are amazing, fast responses, easy to setup, the weight is so light and connection is responsive. Also big thank you to ClockedIn (the supplier). Expected delivery was 4 days after ordering, and it came the next day.

This review is for the full sized Huntsman v2 with the red, optical linear switches. The keyboard is particularly solidly built and feels very high quality. The key action is really smooth and, in the case of the red switches, very quiet. The internal sound damping works well and there are no odd noises or pinging from any of the keys. It comes with a thick, comfortable wrist rest. It's also highly customisable but has one drawback which is not clear from the user manual or Razer website and stops me giving it 5 stars. It uses the Razer Synapse software to programme the keys and change the lighting. The software is functional but not the best I've tried. Although it has programmable on-board memory slots which don't need the Synapse software to be running in the background, these can only be used for storing macros and NOT for the lighting settings. If you customise the lighting (which has an almost infinite number of possibilities), you must keep the Synapse software running or the keyboard reverts to a slowly cycling, fixed brightness colour scheme which it's not possible to change. This has been confirmed by Razer as a deliberate decision and is not just a problem with the keyboard. On my system, the Razer software uses about 310 MB of RAM and only a tiny amount of CPU time - 0% most of the time, occasionally increasing to 0.1% so really not intrusive. That said, this is still an excellent keyboard for both gaming and general use (the best I've tried so far) and I would highly recommend it as long as you're happy with having to run the Synapse software.

TLDR: My unit got some lubricants on the keys, but after cleaning it, it feels amazing again. Worth the price I paid. Keys feels smooth and fast. RGB is expected from Razer, nice and bright enough. This keyboard is amazing, I have the chance to try it out first in the Razer store in London and I fall in love with the Huntsman Mini, both the red and purple switch. I saw a good deal for the linear switch on Amazon and I bite the bullet and ordered it. Right out the box, the keyboard I received had some flaws. The WASD keys and the keys around it feels heavy and sticky. I was curious as what causes it since I don't have problems with the right hand side of the keys. Upon inspection, I found out that there are some sticky lubricants or glue on the keyboard plate. Without any mod, the keyboard was quite loud for a linear switch I would say. The stabilizer was rattling but it's acceptable to me compared to the normal stabilizer? Quite weird I know. But some mods to the keyboard would take it to a next level. Much smoother and sounds amazing. There are a bunch of youtube videos on modding the keyboard, relatively easy to do. I had it for a week now and I can say that I enjoy the keyboard with the mods. Worth the price I paid for it. 5 stars from me despite I had to clean this up before it is perfect to use. No big deal for me.

Both my wife and I like the sound of the Cherry Blue (corsair) switches which are just the right kind of clicky in our opinion. However, the Cherry switches are a bit wobbly and dont feel as solid as these Razer purple switches which are considered the comparable clicky sound. The sound is a lower octave, and is more 'thuddy' and clunky. However, the overall feeling is that of reliability, and sturdiness. It makes you feel more good using this... so we have returned our Corsair clicky blue (Cherry) keyboard and kept the Razer. The Corsair felt more exciting to use and was cordless as well. However, these Razer Huntsman V2 Purple is very SOLID, and the clicks are more deeper and satisfying in a differently to the Cherry blues. So these optical purple finally won.

After using a Razer Anansi membrane keyboard for the last 12 years, I decided to get an upgrade but wanted to stick with Razer. I ended up trying the Huntsman V3 pro analog, Deathstalker V2 and the Blackwidow V4 pro. While the Huntsman V3 pro is a decent keyboard, I personally didn't think it was worth the price. The build quality of the board itself was great but the keys felt a bit hollow and cheap to me. The wrist rest is also quite hard, didn't really find it too uncomfortable to be honest but the rest on the Blackwidow is much better. The customisation in Synapse is very good, and being able to change the actuation and release point of each individual key is nice although I felt the keys were far too sensitive and was accidentally pressing the space bar in games just by resting my thumb over it. The biggest drawback for me personally though was the noise level of the keys were far too loud and annoying. I thought they wouldn't be too bad being optical switches but the loud clank of bottoming out of keystrokes and release, along with the stabilisers made for a very noisy experience. If you want a very sensitive and rapid keyboard and don't mind the noise then I would probably recommend it, otherwise look elsewhere.
