Spring is too strong
The spring in the magazine would constantly push out ammo. I loaded a magazine completely and watched as it ejected almost half of the ammo I put into it. Buyer Beware

Doesn’t work!
These do not work with nerf brand guns. The mechanism that slides back to release the nerf balls does not slide smoothly and does not fit properly with the gun. When you cock the gun, no ball releases into the chamber. If you push up on the bottom of the magazine you can get it to work, but that’s not a suitable solution for an active nerf battle. Had to return these and will try the nerf brand ones.

good generic replacements for NERF
These are good generic replacements for NERF rival magazines. We are actually using them on a Jupiter blaster.

Almost Functional, Minor Modifications Required
At $5.25/unit I had to give it a try. As others have stated the combination of release mechanism and spring length/strength resulted in the the clips not maintaining the 12 rounds if fuly loaded, often unloading about half of the clip because of the release acceleration. By slightly modifying the clips I found great success with them holding a full load of rounds for more than a day. Mileage might still very based on ammo tolerance; I found that the 3rd party ammo seemed a tad smaller and 'more slippery' than official Nerf ammo, causing it to be more likely to discharge as well. My modifications were shortening the springs by about an inch. In the photo the one on the left was a bit too much, middle was just right, and the one on the right I ended up taking a bit more off of. I also slightly melted the side OPPOSITE the release mechanism to make the hole slightly smaller. That was BY FAR the most effective way to improve the ammo retention. The clips worked fine with the Rival Challenger and Rival Mirage, but notably the clips are inserted reverse of each other, a bit confusing for younger users. I did experience a few jams with the Mirage, but I believe that was more associated with the design of the mirage than the reduced spring strength of the clips. This only occured on the final round of the clip, and arguably a 12 round clip is a bit much for that weapon anyways, but should still be noted. Overall at ~$5 a clip, it was very easy to modify them to be well working for my needs, and I would do it again if I needed more. It would be nice if they worked from purchase, and I don't know how durable my modifications will be long term, but still worth it to me.

Minor issue
They do not fit properly so it will not feed the nerf gun.

Good deal
Spring could be stronger, but is a great replacement and a cheaper option to nerf brand

Yup
Exactly as advertised .

Meh
I’ve used this in my Helios Xviii-700 rival gun. The spring detention that keeps all the ball in the mag isn’t very strong and all the balls will fly out of the mag if you bump it to hard. It doesn’t feed all that well in the gun either but hey you get what you pay for.
