Great sturdy anchors
These are pretty sturdy anchors. I use them to anchor some big and heavy Halloween decorations in the fall. I live in south Florida and we get tropical storms/hurricanes with some heavy winds. These work during tropical storms but would not test with higher wind events. I like that you can unscrew the eye to allow use of a drill to anchor to ground and then reattach eye.

Get these and Make Sure to Use a Drill
I used these multiple times to help anchor down embedded poles and decorations outside. They work really well, but they aren’t magic.Great Part : With my drill and in my soil, these went right down and held very firmly. When I added a pretty substantial (but still reasonable) amount of force against them, they didn’t wiggle. And still, removed them from the ground was super easy and didn’t leave a massive hold to be filled.Know before you Start :You really have to have a midrange drill at least - the weaker the drill, the less likely your drill will be able to actually put it way down in the ground.Putting these in is going to be harder in harder soil. If you have really tough soil, count on putting in a bit more elbow grease to get the eyes flush with the groundIf you drill can’t do all the work, you can put a rod through the eye and twist these down into the ground manually. You have to use these like any other tie down, so if you are trying to keep something straight up and down, you’ll probably have to run 2 wires in opposite directions.I would highly recommend these for outdoor applications on small to medium jobs. I have bought another pack already because I was so satisfied with e product.

Nice product but
If your soil is sandy or dirt only these work great, however when installing if there are stones or rocks in the area they are inhibited from going in easy. I ended up getting a couple in easy enough but the others ended up digging up rocks and a hole then installing with some quickcrete inserted to hold them in. But they are nice for tie down anchoring. Using mine on a hunting blond to anchor it. Overall they are in the ground and doing their job.

Stay grounded !
You paid good stinking money for that tent! Don't let Mother Nature rob you of your structure. Get these curly, spikey things, drill them in the ground, tension the lines and laugh at the wind!Sure your inept kids may hit the lines when they mow your lawn. Oh wait, what kids mow their parent's lawns, anymore? Ha. These spikes are a good length to hold down what you need a holding down! They can double as a dog line holder so Fido can run all over your yard and drop his mess everywhere.Get these and come up with your own creative methods of employment. They are strong. Easy to drill into the ground.

They're good and effective but....
We were using these for setting up canopies for our business at outdoor events. Over the last few shows, we did notice a few things. These are not very effective in sandy locations. One of our events was close to a beach, not on the beach, and the sandy soil did not hold these stakes very firmly. We simply had to use back up stakes as well as these. The next event, they worked just fine. The last event was hard pack, and the stakes really struggled going in, and most of them we couldn't even get back out of the ground, so we pounded them down and covered them, or we just dug them up with random tools we found in the trailer. You'd think we could simply reverse the drill and the stakes would come out... But nope. The stakes just spun and spun in the ground creating a small cavity. The powder coating or paint on the top of the stake where the drill attaches is also a bit of a pain until you can get the paint worn off because it doesn't quite fit in the drill right. Once you're looking at bare metal on the top of the stake, it's fine. These would also be more effective and easier to use if they had more levels to the disc. Just the two times around post isn't quite enough to hold it well into the ground, or allow it to back out efficiently. Would I buy again? Maybe, but I'll check for others with more levels on the disc.

very sturdy and can hold our pool cover
bought these anchors to hold down our pool cover against 40 - 60 mph winds and so far it has done a great job. cover stays on with easy, easy to install with a drill, goes right in to the sand and also can go in to light rock.

Nice for temporary tent.
Easy to drive into clay... if you have an old TRUE ½HP (not break HP), or more drill motor. Unfortunately my OLD drill motor doesn't have any reverse, so had to get them out using a long handled ratchet wrench. These hold very well, held up the tent in 40mph winds. They can be driven using a deep well socket. Then you thread on the thimble eye.Overall, great for my needs.
