Bag of 12 ~ Palm Tree Picks ~ Cake / Cupcake Topper

I also bought a 72 count bag of tiny dinosaurs -- which I also recommend -- and these would be perfect for one dino and one tree per cupcake. We actually did a huge science cake and included these. Although they couldn't probably stand alone as decoration for a big sheet cake, we had a "half-sheet" with some test tubes filled with candy in one corner and dinos/tree scene in another corner. Five tiny dinos and 2 tree pics (2 pairs of 2 trees) looked great. We also used dinos and trees to set the scene for "vinegar volcanoes." At the party, each kid got a volcano (see following), a handful of pebbles (fish rocks), a few dinos, a tree, and some play-dough to make tree stand. For volcanoes, fill each 8 oz kids water bottle with volcano recipe - 1/2 cup water, squirt of Dawn d/w liquid, red food color and maybe 1 TBSP baking soda ... then cover with salt dough, play-dough (I even used circles of fabric b/c I didn't have time to find 12 containers of brown play-dough) and erupt with vinegar poured in by adult at the party, one at a time. They love watching it again and again! Fun! Oh, and the trees that came look more prehistoric (crazy leaf pattern) than hula/beach (orderly, umbrella leaf pattern). The pictures in the listing show it both ways and we wanted the more crazy pattern but consider that for what you want.

I used this for making my son's Donkey Kong birthday cake and it turned out really well. They're not flimsy at all so I did feel like overall I got my money's worth as I was kind of afraid that they would be dollar store like quality but they were really sturdy and really were able to take the abuse of all the kids play with them. Wish I would have taken a picture of the cake but it looked awesome.

Great for projects, cakes, whatever you want to do with them. I used most to help my son with his Egypt project. You can separate the trees, trim them down to a smaller size, or whatever you need. For cupcakes or a beach themed cake, the possibilities are really endless.

Good value for money. Very sturdy and looked great on my beach themed cupcakes.

They made perfect palm trees for my jungle cake. They were smaller than i anticipated but ended up fitting perfectly with the plastic animals I had for the cake.

I was prepared to be disappointed. I needed tropical cupcake toppers and the first set I ordered from different company was a major disappointment. These are sturdy and realistic! Great price, will order again if needed.

I bought them for something other than cake decorating so I could have used them to be a bit stronger but they are cute.

Very cute for cupcakes. They are balanced nicely so they stay in place. Also, the tops move a little and it’s really cute. Nice touch for our luau birthday.
