Into the Woods Edition: Vocal Selections

I love this show, and I love the score, I was slightly disapointed when the book came as accompynant and vocal line. it is set up for the original piano score underneath, which has great value as well. it is easy enough mixing the two together in some parts, but other times I just have to play the guitar chords in the bass, and play the melody line with some embellisments in the treble line.

Sadly there were chords(guitar) in the book like usual. Quite a bummer. :/( I really wish they had previews of the sheet music in the listing so you could see inside the book)

All 3 of my kids play piano. All 3 of them love this book. Even my son, who dropped piano after 4 years, has found himself back at the keys enjoying the tunes. We love the songs and we love this song book. It was a perfect purchase for lazy summer days when my teens have nothing to do!

It was overall very good, but none of the chords were written above the music, making it Mitch harder to use. However, I don’t think any Into the Woods piano book has chords.

Into the Woods is one of my favorite musicals, so I might be a bit biased in my review. The sheets are easy o read, what you'd come to expect from Hal Leonard products. My only beef is that I was a bit disappointed in the song selections, but I purchased the book knowing exactly which selections were included. I would liked to have seen Hello Little Girl and A Very Nice Prince. I'll settle for PDF copies until I feel like purchasing the full score.

Got this for my daughter who wanted to learn the songs from this musical. We have been very pleased as this music is lovely and fun to perform. Being used, it was not in pristine condition which is the only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars.

I love this musical, and this book had the song I needed in it. Worked out well for my needs.

I'm not entirely sure what score the other reviewers ordered as this product does include Giants in the Sky etc.As there is no song list in the description I thought I'd include one:- Agony- Any Moment- Children Will Listen- Giants in the Sky- I Know Things Now- Into the Woods- It Takes Two- No More- No One Is Alone- On the Steps of the Palace- Stay with Me.The sheet music is really clearly presented and it is a lovely book to have. My only disappointment (which isn't even that important) is that I would have quite liked some production pictures. Other than that I love it! Worth every penny!
