This is the PERFECT solution for the little crumbs our dog leaves on the rugs when she eats her treats. It was a pain to pull out the vacuum each time and the rugs we have are a little much for the handheld at times, so this sweeper is PERFECT. Picks everything up (to include the fur she sheds EVERYWHERE) and it's so easy to empty!! Just very happy with this solution! Bonus? It's PURPLE!!

I initially gave this four stars. After 24 hours I knocked it down to three because some of the dog hair that attaches to the bottom (not inside) falls back off on the carpet. But it's miniscule. And after a week, I'm ready to give it ten stars. I have two welsh corgis that shed like crazy. I am also a meticulous housekeeper. Those two facts were constantly on a collision course in my home as I would get out the vacuum cleaner every single morning to do the bedroom carpet and every single day after work to run over the area rug in the family room where the dogs are during the day. I remember my grandparents having a carpet sweeper when I was young, and it would get up the crumbs from the kitchen/dining room floor after every meal. If I didn't want to hassle with the vacuum cleaner, I got down on my hands and knees with a damp cloth for a quick dog-hair pick-up. Now in my 60's, I decided I was getting too old to do that very often. So I thought a carpet sweeper would be the perfect solution. And it is. This little gadget gets up all the hair, slides under furniture easily and is wonderful for doing steps. However, when I opened the box, I was SHOCKED to see how small it is. I tend to ignore numbers (don't like them) so I had failed to notice that it is NINE INCHES wide. If you don't have a picture in your mind of how small that is, get out a ruler so you don't pass out when you open the box, as I nearly did. My first impression when I saw the size was "rip off!!" but even the size of this has grown on me. It's lightweight and, as mentioned, does a great job on steps and getting under furniture. I can also put it up ON the bed in the morning and get the dog hair out of the sheets and off the comforter, rather than using a damp rag. (Lint rollers are the biggest money sucking rip off ever invented.) It just requires a little more back and forth on larger rugs or floors. No biggie. Still better than getting out the vacuum or killing my knees. I'm ready to get a second one so I don't have to take it up and down the stairs, although it's so small and lightweight, it's not a big deal. Bottom line: it gets up an AMAZING amount of dog hair, crumbs, pretty much everything. And SOO SOOO easy to use.

The Fuller Brush 17042 Electrostatic is a mighty clean up tool. I did my homework and read many other reviews. I’m pleased to say this roller Brush does its job. My cordless vacuum cleaner was not picking up hair or much else after several years. And this sweeper not only picks up hair, but dust bunnies, sand, grit all the stuff found on floors and carpets. It is environmentally friendly. Old school! I agree with others who lament that this is a tad small cleaning device. I do wish the base was just a an inch or two wider. On the other hand I have a tiny condo and it does a really good job. My second minor complaint is that cleaning it out is not that much fun. It’s a little awkward trying to clean the underside after dumping out all the debris from carpet into garbage. There is a nifty little comb tool (solid metal) that you can manually remove hair from the brush. I do this every time after a good cleaning. I highly recommend this sweeper for its sturdiness, and ability to store a lot of dirt. This is a keeper, great value for money well spent.

I had an old one from the early 90's which I bought from a door-to-door fuller brush man. Best purchase ever. It still works but it was time for a replacement and this didn't disappoint. It's easy to use, doesn't need batteries and great for a quick pickup if you need something quick. I have no deep carpets but it works great on the area rugs, wood floors and kitchen floor. I love that this came with an extra roller. Easy to clean and if this is anything like my old one sturdy for YEARS!!! It would be great for little ones to help as well.

It works sooo great everywhere & especially love on my thinner rugs & hardwood/tile floors. Plus the kids are able to use it a lot easier when they clean since it’s light & doesn’t have to be plugged in. I wish I had gotten this years ago!!! My regular vacuum cleaner sucks too hard & will not work on some of my rugs, like the ones by the doors, this just works everywhere. I’m so excited about it. Literally has made cleanup so much easier. Don’t even have to get the broom & dustpan out anymore!

Growing up I remember the carpet sweeper we had in our house. It was heavy, made of metal, had several height settings, and was a workhorse of a device. This Fuller brush carpet sweeper is so not that. It’s like 9” wide, not very sturdy, and feels small, weak, and fragile. It does sweep the carpet fairly well, but is nothing like the one of my childhood (which was likely not a fuller brush brand sweeper). It works ok on larger floor debris, but it leaves behind the smaller dirt “particles” that could still be felt on the area rug when walking with bare feet. Also the $70+ dollars we spent on this seems a bit pricey for what you get. Would I recommend? No. You might want to try a cheaper brand first to see how they work for you. You could buy at least 2-3 other cheap brands to compare for the price of the Fuller Brush sweeper. Does it work? Kind of. Good enough for what we need, but I’m betting a cheaper brand would work just as well. Would I buy it again? No.

We have always had a Carpet Sweeper in our house. Due to rising Electricity costs I decided to get a new version of the traditional one and researched carefully before making a purchase. This Fuller Brush Company unit gets 5 Stars from me. Despite its' petite size it is a good weight and cleans fabulously easily. Even after running over the rugs this week with a Mini Vac I was amazed at what was picked up in the first use. The 3 Yr Limited Warranty is an extra bonus. It was shipped quickly to Australia as well.

I've always had a carpet sweeper - always a Bex Bissell, but I had NO idea a sweeper could be as top notch as this Fuller. The wasted years of back and forth over the same bit when this little sweetie instantly gobbles everything - guinea pig pellets, hay stems, dog hair and veg peelings all neatly packaged in a mass of grit, fluff and dried mud all easily emptied from two pans. Proper bristles on the rollers - not bits of J-cloth like Bissell now use. And it's solid - no rattly bits. Worth every penny of the extra cost. I feel sure I'll end up passing it on to the kids in my will!
