Perfect! I got these for my husband because one of his toes rubs against the top of his steel toed boots and he got an ulcer. With him having diabetes this is not a good situation. He has been putting it over the bandaid before he puts on his socks when he goes to work and he said it protects his toe really well. They are not waterproof though so he uses something else to cover his toe when he takes a shower. It comes with several in one order so once his toe is healed, he can continue to wear them and have extras for when the others are drying after being washed/cleaned.

These do the trick. One of my toes (3rd) decided to lean to one side, not painful but uncomfortable. Have no desire for surgery. I cut the top off one of these, cut in two, get two toe protectors from each. And they are washable. Pretty much stay in place. Separate my toe from neighbor. So far, I’m good to go. I also tried little things that bind two toes together. They’re fine, but more trouble than just slipping one of these over trouble toe.

My second toes are LONG... and as a barefooter, I wear off the skin at the tips of those toes. These offer great protection, but the clear versions become dirty in a short time. I'll buy black in the future.

I have to say these are pretty darn effective. Hard to get on and even harder to take off if you're not careful. To put on, they don't "slip on" like a pair of socks. I slip my smallest finger inside and roll them down to the tip. Press the tip against the end of the toe and roll it back. This way you won't stretch it and will be able to see more accurately how much needs to be trimmed off. To remove, basically reverse the way you put it on - DON'T TRY TO PULL IT OFF FROM THE TIP. They're strong but fragile at the same time and will likely rip if mishandled. Don't expect these to straighten a hammer toe, but they should give you comfort. You can also put creams on that you may be putting on your corns or calluses before putting the cap on and it will keep it place to do its work. I have both hammer toes and a crocked toe that overlaps my big toe. Couldn't wear wear closed-toe shoes/slippers more than about a half hour a day without pain from rubbing. Now I can wear slippers all day and sneakers for about an hour every other day or so. These caps do crowd my foot in the shoe but at least now I can get groceries in relative comfort.

Too thick to wear with heals. Size seems to be large for my smaller toes which are the one needing the most protection and cushion. Overall the texture seems soft and easy to clean.
