I really like these tools. They come with super useful tool holders. The geometry of these inserts are super versatile, and the 3/8" shank fits well with the tool post on my 9x20 lathe while also providing a good amount of rigidity relative to the size. The shank is pretty short, so the actual reach from the tool post is somewhat limited. But for turning and chamfering, you should be good with these. Just a note if you are using this on a manual lathe, remember that the inserts are carbide, and they need to be treated as such. You'll get a bad surface finish if you run carbide slow. They like to cut fast and heavy!

They cut well. My lathe speed should be/is too slow for carbide, but I'm very satisfied with the finish quality. I stepped up to the 1/2" size ( which is the largest size my small AXA tool holders will fit. That extra rigidity probably helps. There are cheaper options out there, but I trust the Accusize name and wanted to be sure I could get correct replacement inserts years down the road.

A great product for the price works well with my lathe.

While not the top name brand manufacture, seems to be of nice weight and design. It is not a typical "bargain" brand rough low quality build. If taken care of, and not abused, they should last a very long time. High praise to Accusize for good products at prices in line for the component. T.

I bought a bench top lathe that I used these on. I used them for making rings at first, then made some loader bucket pins. I don't have years of experience or anything, but these didn't give me any problmes.

You will go through inserts, depending on your intended purpose you may want to purchase extras right away.

These tools look well made and of decent quality for the price. However, I faced off and turned some mild steel bar with one and it chipped after about 30 mins use. Luckily they have more than one usable tip and the second one is going strong so far
