The best butt barrier cream...
Aquaphor is my absolute favorite diaper barrier cream of choice. It's clean, it smells like nothing, and my kids booties are super happy. It was also recommended by our pediatrician, when we were struggling with diaper rash in the very beginning. And I won't lie, my husband and I have given it a try once in awhile too... we've all had those days when we have an angry poo or hemorrhoid that takes it out on your butt and you just feel miserable or itchy - Aquaphor always does the trick. 😉 My two-year-old son going on 3 years old even asks for it once in awhile, and it's always when his booty is a little red and irritated. He knows that it works, and so does his Mama here! We have containers of it and both kids diaper bags, and both of their bedrooms, and in a couple of our bathrooms. Buy yourself a container if you haven't yet, or maybe just commit by 6 or so!

Goes on a little greasy but works like a charm!
I purchased this ointment based on a recommendation by my son's pediatrician. My son suffers from severe eczema and nothing we were using on him was helping. We have to be very careful with what we use on his skin because anything can make his condition flare up. The pediatrician recommended we use the Aquaphor ointment on him at least two times a day, and especially after his bath. She also said it is important to apply it within minutes after patting him dry from his bath before the skin has a chance to 'dry out'. This is the only product that has helped his skin condition. If we use it on him twice a day his eczema is nearly non-existent. It has worked so well on him that I started using it after I shower and it has made a tremendous difference in my skin. I don't have eczema but in the winter I end up with severe dry skin and this is the only moisturizer that made a difference. The only downside to this ointment is that it goes on greasy and can take a few minutes for the greasiness to soak in. I prefer not to put on any good clothes right away in case some of the grease transfers to my clothes before it soaks into my skin. If there is a greasy spot or two on the clothing then using powder on the spots helps to get it out (let the powder sit on the greasy spot for a few minutes or more so it soaks up the oils, then brush the powder away). Even though it goes on greasy I decided to give it 5 stars because it is an 'ointment' rather than a 'moisturizer,' and it does what it is supposed to better than any other product we have tried.

The very best you can get to relieve diaper rash!
My 3 month old had a painful looking rash right where her legs connect to her pelvis for about a month. Mind you the doctor recommended A+D. I tried a handful of things, A+D, Desitin, pure cornstarch powder, cloth diapers, sensitive diapers, changing her diapers VERY frequently, leaving the baby without a diaper for 30 minutes even and nothing would make it better. I wasn't confident on applying pure petrolleum jelly so I tried this. I bought the small 3oz just to try and paid a shocking $9 for it. Oh well. I cleaned my baby vey well (mostly with toilet paper and water, even the most sensitive wipes would worsen her rash) and the rash was GONE within a day and a half, something that NONE of the other stuff I tried did in a month! You have to apply a good amount, like a good inch long for it to work because the pee itself will wash it out. After rash is gone, a smaller decent amount will keep your little one happy, and always make sure you clean thoroughly. A single 14 jar is worth a whooping $18.99 at the drug store but it's sooo much cheaper here!! You get a double pack, which is all the more wonderful. This is also excellent for dry skin on both her and me! Highly recommed this product, if you're not convinced just try the little size one first. It's very well worth it.

Aquaphor is the worlds best moisturizing cream, synonymous with peace and love softness and happiness five stars for Aquaphor
What's Aquaphor? Sounds like the beginning of a joke! But it's not. Before is the best products made to help drive feed and skin. Everybody recommends Aquaphor. The pharmacist, my doctor, little old ladies! You can always tell a person that uses Aquaphor. No dry elbows heels knees or skin Everytime everything is stays nice and soft because Aquaphor is on your body. Stay protected especially from these cold winter days with the dry heat inside and cold air outside you need to take care of your body's largest organ, your skin! The world would be a better place if Aquaphor made flu vaccine, soap, shampoo, happy pills, peace and love cream, and world peace spray. If our government was as good as Aquaphor every child would go to sleep with food in their belly and books in a backpack on a safe street going to school. The whole world would never starve. If Aquaphor was love we would simply spread it over the whole world and everybody would get along and be kind and love one another. My name is Noel Westerlind and I approve this statement I support this statement I pray for this statement with all my heart for him to come true if not for everyone but for at least one homeless and hungry child.

Aquaphor is great - but this "Baby" one has a very strong scent!
I live in a desert area, so have been using Aquaphor for a long time. It's great - the only thing that keeps my skin from drying out. I tried this "Baby" version, but had to send it back because of the strong scent. If you don't mind a fragrance, go ahead with this; if you do, stick to regular Aquaphor.

This stuff works great on the kids and adults alike
This stuff works great on the kids and adults alike. I use it personally as well. It doesn't dry as fast as other lotions but it can take some rough skin down in one night. We use well water and in the winters I get pretty rough knuckles and some extremely rough elbows. This eliminates that in usually one application. For the really roughs stuff I have to use it a couple times but not much more than that. I've used it for chafing but the fact that it doesn't absorb makes it heal great but a little less comfortable while its one. I'd recommend using it before bed, by morning you're healed and its mostly gone.

Best diaper rash solution!
It may be thick but that's what you need to cure diaper rash! My newborn son had an awful rash from the frequent stooling that newborns seem to do and NOTHING helped it. We saw three different doctors and were prescribed two different cremes, totaling over 120$, and nothing seemed to help. The "diaper rash" cremes sold at the stores either made him cry when applied or didn't help either. I finally tried Aquaphor after googling for hours and as a last resort. I'm SO glad that I did! It healed him completely within a few days and we don't use anything else. On a flight, due to the large size of this tub, I used a smaller tube of Vaseline which left his cheeks red after one diaper change. Threw some Aquaphor on it when we reached the hotel and he was all better. We now use it every diaper change as a preventative measure and haven't had an issue since. Try it! Even if your child doesn't react as favorably, it's great for chapped lips and dry skin! (Also - I used the original Aquaphor before finding these large (and CHEAPER!) tubs - there is NO difference except you get double the amount for the same price.)

Lifesaver for Rash on Baby's Face
At about 2 months of age my baby came down with a horrible acne-like rash on his face. I left it alone at first, since that is what I thought you do for a young baby per a variety of sources of advice. Well, my baby started scratching his face and it wasn't healing well...and it looked so DRY around his lips. I decided I must do something. After a few days of washing his face SEVERAL TIMES A DAY and then immediately applying either Aquaphor or a layer of pure lanolin, his skin improved a thousand times over! The pure lanolin actually worked a bit better when his skin was in this really dry state, but it is VERY sticky/goopy, not pleasant to put on at all. But when put on him after his nightly bath, he'd wake up with MUCH softer healthier skin in the morning. Eventually I switched to using only the Aquaphor and not Lanolin because I like the smoother consistency and it is less expensive...and it works just fine. After a week or two I was down to putting Aquaphor on his face only once each night after his bath, and the result is perfectly normal smooth skin. I started to wonder if maybe he just outgrew the condition (which his doctor called Seborrhea) but one night a week or so ago he missed his bath (and Aquaphor) due to falling asleep for the night early, unexpectedly. By the next evening, he was getting some bumps/rash on one side of his face again. So, now I can say with certainly it's the Aquaphor that is keeping his skin in such great condition. Highly recommend and wish I'd bought it for older son when he was a baby as well, but was skeptical of the glowing reviews at that time and he never had a rash as bad as my youngest son. Worth a try on any area of very dry skin...but again for most severe conditions might want to try pure Lanolin. Oh, and using plain Vasoline did NOT work as well and does not have as pleasing and smooth of a consistency, this is a better way to go by far. Never want to be without this now, the reviews are accurate on this one! Oh, be warned though...Aquaphor is not going to help certain types of rash. Turns out my baby had a fungal rash of bumps on his chest which required prescription cream or OTC antifungal, Aquaphor would only make something like that worse. He also gets redness in the creases of his neck/under arms which also requires an antifungal cream or the use of baby powder (if using baby powder, can't apply at same time as Aquaphor will cause the powder to stick in small hard clumps, not comfortable for baby!). Hope this helps...I have 3 sons and the first two had no skin problems whereas my littlest one has very complicated skin...I have had to treat different areas of his skin with different products, but it's worth it to me to keep him comfortable -and I am happy to say he now has perfectly normal soft skin.
