Versatile multitool that has become my go to for renovation work
I already own several WORX tools and this cordless Sonicrafter has probably become my most used of the lot. I genuinely wish I had bought an oscillating multitool years ago. In the middle of a house renovation it has been a real game changer. Cutting door frames for new flooring, trimming skirting, notching wood, cutting out plasterboard and sanding awkward corners – it handles all of those jobs quickly and with far less faff than using separate tools. The variable speed control is useful, letting you slow things down for more precise work or delicate materials. The built in blade change system is another big plus. Swapping accessories is quick and tool free, so you are more likely to change to the right blade for each job instead of making do. Paired with the WORX PowerShare batteries it fits in nicely with the rest of the WORX range I already own. A couple of small points to note. Like most multitools it is not the quietest tool and you do feel some vibration on longer jobs, and heavy use will get through batteries fairly quickly, so having a spare on charge is almost essential if you are working for extended periods, but for most jobs, one will keep you going long enough. Even after heavy use, working fine and quality build. Consider it great value too! Overall, though, this is an excellent bit of kit. It just works really well, has so many uses and has become an essential tool for my current DIY and renovation projects.

Cordless Worx Oscillating Tool ….
I’ll admit, I’m a bit biased as a Worx tool fan, but the Worx WX696.9 Sonicrafter Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool has completely won me over—again! Worx consistently delivers versatile, high-quality tools, and this one is no exception. First off, the fact that it’s cordless is a game-changer. No more tripping over cables or being limited by outlet locations—just grab it and go. The freedom to move around makes projects so much easier, whether I’m cutting, sanding, or scraping. The versatility of this tool is incredible. With the right attachment, it handles everything from precision cuts to sanding in tight spaces. And since it’s part of the Worx tool system, I can swap batteries with my other Worx tools, which is a huge plus. It’s also easy to use, with a comfortable grip and smooth operation. Even on tougher jobs, it delivers consistent power without bogging down. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-fuss oscillating multi-tool that gets the job done, the Worx WX696.9 Sonicrafter is a fantastic choice. Worx has done it again—highly recommend!

My favourite tool !
My favourite tool of all ! I have several Worx tools now but this is my favourite, its so versatile in that it can be used for many different jobs around the house or in the garden etc. Its very easy to change the blades and being able to adjust the speed levels up and down is very handy for different types of jobs, e.g. I recently used it to remove some old tile grout and at slow speed it worked a treat. Its easy to operate and fits in the hand very well, I don't find the tool to be noisy and the quality of the tool very good. you could pay a lot more for a multi-tool like this but why would you?. I have two of the Worx batteries so I always have a spare one but I don't find that this tool is excessive on the battery

Very capable.
This is a really good version of a multitool and it's very easy to use. It has a built in Allen key at the front to open the jaws for fitting blades. Not as good as my generic one with a lever, but unless you're changing blades a lot, it's not an issue (assuming you don't lose it). It's held pretty fast though. Batteries are the usual WORX type and it's got good balance when one is fitted. Furthermore it stands upright on one too. Good power, easy to change the speed with a dial and it's coped with wood, aeriated blocks, wood and concrete. It's comfortable to use with a good grip and nice weight. Smaller than some too. Good battery life and the choice to use large capacity batteries from the WORX range (or 3rd party ones). Accessories are good, having general cutting blade plus metal and some backs for the supplied sanding pads too.
