I bought this because I figured Coleman was a trusted quality brand. This machete, however, is so dangerously scary I'm returning it. The low quality sheath does not actually sit around the blade and there is no latching strap, so it will easily slide out while working. Then, the little belt loop thing is not solidly set so the sheath itself is liable to just fall off your belt. Worst, the blade was super dull right out of the box, not sharp at all. The blade feels flimsy and the handle is cheapo plastic.

Used to help cut sod as installing. Not sharp at all and arrived slightly bent. Though it was a struggle to use it ultimately worked for what I needed. Spend a few more bucks and get a better quality.

it hacks, it slashes, it does what it needs to do. dont go digging in the rocks with it, you wont chop down a jungle with it without a wrist ache, but for the money it will go great in the shed/trunk
