Oh this chocolate is a dream. The taste is fabulous and goes through the fountain without any issues. You can take the left over chocolate from your fountain and pour it into a glass bowl and put it in the fridge, mix some nuts and coconut in it before putting in frig, after 12 hours or so when the chocolate has hardened take the bowl and turn it upside down on your cutting board take a hot towel and place it on top the bowl covering all side and leave it for 3 minutes, don't leave to long otherwise your chocolate will melt, take town off and wiggle bowl and chocolate will fall out onto your cutting board. Cut the chocolate into bite size pieces. If you are having a hard time getting the knife through your chocolate like I was, you can try what I did, at your own risk. I turned my gas stove on n heated the end of my knife very lightly not even 10 seconds and I was able to cut the chocolate. Don't heat your knife with water as you will have a mess. Put your cut bite pieces of chocolate into ziplock bag and I stored in frig. This way you are not wasting this delicious chocolate when taking it out of the fountain. Highly recommended product I love it.

After a few adjustments, I was able to find the correct settings on my microwave to properly and more quickly melt the chocolate wafers. Because each bag is 2 #s, and the Wilton fountain suggests starting at 4 #s, I kept the first bag, the chocolate of which I already melted, on a metal bowl atop a pot of simmering water to keep it warm / liquid. After melting the 2nd bag of chocolate, I poured both into the fountain base (which should already have been pre-heated, see fountain directions). My opinion: these Chocolate Pro wafers are excellent. My guests and I thought the chocolate tasted great, it flowed easily and continuously, and coated everything very well. The suggested 4 #s makes sense, so that the fountain has enough product to work with and it looks good, but keep in mind: 4 #s is a lot of chocolate. I threw away, in my estimate, 1 - 1.5 #s after the party. I also wrote a review about the fountain itself.

This 2-Pack Wilton Chocolate Pro - Melting Chocolate is great. It really doesn’t require additional oil to get it flowing. I opted to melt the chocolate chips on the stove, with the double boiler method. It melts really fast, so be sure to keep an eye on it and keep mixing. Once fully melted, I then transferred it to our little chocolate fountain. It flowed nice and smoothly. The chocolate tastes wonderful. Everyone in my family, including our guests, enjoyed it.

My childreen have been using our chocolate fountain for a few events recently and this is exactly what is needed. I have not used many other kids to be able to compare, but this is perfect, throw it in the microave in short bursts to melt it and then put it in the fountain. Takes 30 minutes of brainless prep and then is prefect. Let me tell you that the kids love it. I catch them standing by the fountain for the whole party. I have to agree, it is good. Best of all, when I am done Iput the extra in a zp love bag and save the extra for the next party. Could not thell the difference on the second use and saves me from buying an extra bag for every use.

I was impressed at this shipped without melting. It worked great in the chocolate fountain that I bought and tasted wonderful.

The white chalky look of the milk chocolate was really unappealing, but I had no time to get anything else. The chocolate just seemed quite stale /old. The "wafers" were all melted together as huge solid blocks and required a lot of pounding to break them up to microwave. The instructions are not even close to accurate. It took almost 10 minutes of microwaving to just get it soft. I specifically bought this chocolate because it said "no oil" needed.....I had to add about 10tbsp of oil for the 4 lbs of this chocolate for it to flow through the fountain.

Beware of this item. The description says, “Wilton Chocolate Pro Fountain and Fondue Wafers 2lb-Chocolate” and the in the contents, “Box Contains 1 x Chocolate Pro Fountain and Fondue Wafers 2lb-Chocolate”, but it DOES NOT CONTAIN the chocolate pro fountain machine. This description is incorrect and one will only get 1 bag of chocolate wafers. The customer service reply was, “I apologise.This item does not come with the fountain. The description shows: This package contains 2 lb/907g”. If you will be placing an order for this item, only expect 1 bag of chocolate wafers. Extremely disappointed customer.

Are these chocolate wafers pricey? Yes. But are they worth it? Heck, yes. As we all know, there is cheap chocolate and then there is expensive-tasting chocolate. And you can tell that this is great-tasting chocolate - it doesn't taste waxy or stale. I used this in my chocolate fountain at my Canada Day party and it was a real hit (with red strawberries on skewers). I chose this chocolate over buying cheap grocery store chocolate chips because otherwise you need to add oil to the melted chocolate to get it to flow properly in the fountain, and I'm simply too lazy for this. So all you need to do is melt this chocolate a bit in a microwaveable container, and then put it into your chocolate fountain (don't put it in 'as is' - it'll never melt as the heating element in most chocolate fountains isn't designed for this). Bottom line - suck it up and get this pre-made chocolate fountain chocolate over cheap grocery store chocolate chips. It tastes good and makes life easier. I don't regret it (although I sure hesitated at checkout time). :)
