Over priced and over engineered for the job, but they are a custom fit :-(
They work great, but the whole stamped metal housing part is an expensive way to go. They really are so over engineered it is horrible. I have made my old one last for years by carefully prising open the metal housing & simply replacing the water pad inside with a generic one that I shaved to fit the housing, but it only handles being opened up so many times before the metal fatigues and fails, so considering I did it about 6 times or more with the old one, I guess i now have 12+ filter saps out of this 2 pack of them if I continue to do the same thing - which I recommend everyone does to save money on these, as they really are not the cheap way to go with humidifier pads, but as the humidifier needs this metal frame to hold the pad, you are stuck with this design. Lesson learned for the future, only by a whole house humidifier that does not need a custom frame to hold the pads in place...!
