Solid and compact
There is nothing I disliked about this 6 outlet front facing power strip. In fact, I was happy to see that it is even shorter than the photos elude. I was also concerned that the plugs wouldn't be tight enough given the price and I was prepared to replace them with higher quality ones but my plugs fit in solidly.

It's a rackmount power strip
Hey it's a power strip. And it works. I've ordered Tripp Lite power strips before and have had no problems with them at all. I have some with outlets on both front and back, but this one has them only on the back. Depending on what your install is, one will work better than the other. It looks clean in the rack, and the power cord was plenty long. We're using it to power down an "always on" designed video switcher with really noisy cooling fans. Can't say much else, other then I would buy again, and the shipping was ridiculously fast.

Expensive, but very well made.
Tripp Lite just makes a great product. This was no exception. I had to get a power strip that mounted in a rack. This one had no special bells or whistles other than a long and heavy cord (which I did need). IT cost as much as some products with surge protection or several switches and more outlets. I needed to pick one out in a hurry, so I stayed with what I knew would work, Tripp Lite.

It's a rack-mount power strip
The power-off switch has a cover over it. There are six NEMA 5-15R receptacles on the back. It appears to be well constructed.

some cage nuts would have been nice
There's not a lot one can say about a surge protector -- you can mount it in the rack, it distributes power and protects the line (in my case, on the load side of a UPS). Given how much these cost, however, some rack mounting hardware would have been nice. I had to scrounge in a junk drawer for cage nuts and mounting screws. Fortunetely for me, I had enough unused rack accessories to cannibalize from to mount the surge protectors.

Great buy.
Tripp Lite makes a good solid product. Been using them for over a year since my first power supply and no issues.

It does the job, but overall quality lacks
The power button is what got me first. It wobbles from side-to-side. The rest of the unit seems fine - it's doing the job.

Exactly what was needed.
Fits nicely and allows me to control the power to the items in the rack. The covered switch is a plus, I get tired of people bumping into the rack and shutting things down (we have several department using the same space for equipment and most are only careful around their own equipment).

Tripp-Lite quality, as expected. No front plugs, which I didn't need.
