Walnut Hollow Basswood Carving Block, 1.75x3.5x10

Good. It was what I expected. There were a few dents which was not good to have but not too bad. I wished it was handled more carefully.

This was okay to work with. I am not a big fan of processed wood. I prefer what I can find that's fallen from a tree. It would probably be better using wood chisels rather than a knife like I use. Over all it wasn't bad, not to hard, not always easy to cut with our chipping....it was also a bit awkward to hold due to its shape, I find it easier to work with something rounded.

Bought carving wood for wood carving friend of mine who doesn't have internet. Not sure how he likes it since he's yet to say The fact that as it turns out it could be hollow as I just took note of. It might or might not have worked for the carving project he had or has in mind..I might be back with more, depending

Great wood for carving small figures... I have carved 2 Standard Schnauzers ( we have 2) and the wood is just perfect to carve. Will be buying more in the near future.
