I think both of these bbq sauces taste like the real thing. It is so delicious. It is runny but I am aware of that and use it sparingly. In the summer, though, I use it on everything. So good. I have made bbq chicken for the entire family and not told them what was on it and they all loved it. Best stuff!

I'm not a huge fan of BBQ sauce, but, being on the AIP (autoimmune) diet, I decided to try these since I was desperate to make meat edible. Unfortunately, both the consistency and the flavor are off for me. I tried to feed them to the rest of the family, and no one is a fan of either sauce yet, even though the rest of the family loves BBQ sauce. I think I actually like the runny consistency, but can't imagine that most people would. The flavor is still not a win for any of us, but I'm giving it four stars based on my appreciation that someone has even attempted something flavorful for the AIP community. Pro: Doesn't contain highly allergenic ingredients Great for AIP diet At least its a flavor--I'm still using it even though its not my favorite. It beats no flavor at all, which is what I feel I'm stuck with on the AIP diet. Cons: Consistency is too runny Taste is not enjoyed by my family

I am so happy to have a non-tomato bbq sauce option. It has great taste, and the company sent me a replacement for a bottle that was damaged in shipping. I received the replacement in just a couple of days even with the supply chain issues that are going on currently. A great company with a great product.

Product smells amazing but bottles were broken and between seller and Amazon that shipped it, I spent $30 on two bottles of sauce I can't be refunded for or ask for a replacement. Gave 1 star because I have to...but did smell amazing.

Edited 7/10/17: KC Natural was kind enough to send me a few peoples after changing the producer/recipe a bit. I have to say that these are much improved! I'd go as far as 3.5 stars if I could. They are still lacking something I can't put my finger on (kind of a sweet/tang bite), but they are a lot better now than they were when I first bought them. With a little dressing up (try adding the homemade Worcestershire sauce from The Healing Kitchen cook book), they are great. Than you, KC Natural!!! I, too, wanted to like these and feel terrible giving a negative review to a company that is trying to meet the huge need for AIP products. But! Both of these sauces tasted awful. Never mind that they are thing - I can handle that - but blech! I am a dedicated AIPer, my husband is not; neither of us could stand more than a half spoonful. I was so looking forward to a BBQ treat, but we can't consume these. Other reviews are pretty good, so did we get a bad batch?! One thing is for sure, I won't be ordering again :( I've never left such a bad review on a product, but in this case I couldn't help it.

This sauce brings the flavor! It's runnier than most BBQ sauces, so I opted to use it as a marinade to be sure the meat had enough time to pick up the flavors. Let me tell you- dinner turned out AMAZING. I found this to be better than many other BBQ sauces out there. I chose some nice bison ribeyes, marinated them in the Mastadon sauce for a little bit, then tossed them on the grill. Pure deliciousness. I'm truly happy this product is out there and will definitely be buying more
