This tool makes installing nutserts (Riv Nuts) much easier and less prone to error than simply using the "tool enclosed to install nutserts", found in many items which require the little devils. I was installing a $500 tailgate table onto a $61K vehicle and did not want to go through the usual hassles of installing the nutserts incorrectly. Previously on other projects I'd not gotten the nutsert expanded when tight against the mounting surface so I bought this tool. I also purchased a 22 gauge piece of steel from a local HW store. Several holes were drilled and a number of nutserts inserted all with success, and so it went when installed on the tailgate. Solid tool and practicing first allowed me to gauge how much pressure was enough pressure. Srongly recommended for quality and versatility as it comes with a number of dies for various size nutserts all at an affordable price.

Worked great...I did not have this small mandrel but needed to place a 3M rivet to secure a magnet to my aluminum cabinet. It fit my ORFELD rivet tool exactly and evenly compressed the nut.

Haven’t used the rivet nuts yet, but the mandrel worked just fine on some hex shaped ones.

If you don't ever use rivets in your work, you might want to take at close look at how you are doing things. It you need to connect things that you do not want to e able to easily come apart, rivets are an inexpensive and easy to install option. Rivets come in many lengths and diameters. This riveter comes with the necessary mandrels to work with many sizes of rivets. If you ever need to remove rivets, it is simple to drill them out. You don't have to do anything difficult, like cut welds for instance. This is a substantial tool. It has some weight to it. It is solid. It works great. The long handles afford great leverage. The mandrels are well made. I don't think you are ever going to wear this tool out. Or break it. Just don't lend it out. You probably won't get it back. It's that nice.

Perfect fit in my Harbor Freight "Doyle" tool. I bought the M6 Mandrel as a standby replacement for my recently (7-20-2025) purchased H. F. 10" Rivet nut setter kit. H.F. does not offer any support for most of the tools they sell, just a lifetime replacement warranty, but that's not much help if I break something when the store is closed. The M6 mandrel is the one that I will use the most, so I wanted to be sure to have a stand-by mandrel on hand.
