It works, see Sync information and get to playing.
I bought this remote inspite of the negative reviews hoping that people were unable to sync due to their error and I was right. To Sync oldturkey03 @oldturkey03 Rep: 639.9k POSTED: 12/14/2010 OPTIONS Have you tried to resync it. I found this 1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on. 2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up, and open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. (The SD Card Slot is the small door located near the disc drive slot.) 3. Press and release the SYNC button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED will blink. Quickly press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card compartment on the console. 4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4). Works perfectly for now.

Best Budget Aftermarket Wii Controller
NOTE: THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT HAVE MOTION PLUS CAPABILITY. For $13, this is a great Wiimote! Rock Candy is a well known brand in the aftermarket video game accessories market - I remember when they sold their products at Blockbuster! This Wiimote has a cool transparent blue shell with visible circuits. Comes with wrist strap. Works with other aftermarket add-ons designed to be used with the original Nintendo Wiimote, such as a nunchuck and a steering wheel. Uses 2 AA batteries, not included. I purchased a second one!

Wasted my money!
I ordered this controller for myself to play Just Dance. I received it today, it looked nice, felt nice, BUT - it doesn't WORK!!! It worked for literally five minutes then it shut down, I tried turning it back on and it blinked once then acted like it died. There's no way this controller ate the batteries that quick because I had just put in brand new batteries before trying to play. But I tried new batteries again anyways. Still nothing!!! I am very disappointed in this product, I wasted my money and I should have just went to GameStop and bought a pre-owned controller. Would have been a lot better than getting this piece! Don't buy this unless you want a controller that works for literally five minutes then die for no apparent reason.

This is why I love Rock Candy: even their worst controller is still pretty darn great.
When I saw that Rock Candy had released a Wii Remote, I had to snap it up right away. Rock Candy has always made excellent controllers for the 360, PS3 and Xbox One, and I expected the same level of quality from this one. The weird button layout (as compared to standard Wiimotes) had me a little worried, but I wanted to give it a chance anyway. After all, Rock Candy also messed with their PS3 controller's layout, and I now vastly prefer it to the official ones. I got the Wiimote in the mail, eagerly tore it open, and found myself suitably impressed at first. Syncing is very easy, and the motion controls work just as they should. The remote feels very good to hold in motion-control situations (certainly better than the bulky Nyko remote), and the A and B buttons are both satisfyingly clicky and feel great to press. And yes, nunchucks work fine with this controller. So far, so good. However, when I tried playing 2D games with the remote held sideways, that was when the problems started to show. The D-pad certainly feels plenty solid -- kinda like a more sturdy GameCube pad -- and the buttons are all of great quality, but the upward angle of the 1 and 2 buttons, combined with their tiny size, just feels awkward. Don't get me wrong; it's still perfectly usable (and I was able to pull off the same tricks I usually do with no issues), but the awkward angle hurts my wrist after a while. I get they're trying to copy the NES Max and dogbone controllers, but I never liked those either, for the exact same reason. (The tiny buttons also feel odd on my thumbs, but this is also a problem with the official Wii remotes, so I suppose I can let it slide -- though I do like the Nyko remote precisely for its much larger buttons). Also, the Plus and Minus buttons should be in roughly the center of the controller (to keep that NES feel), but instead, they're placed next to the D-pad. Rock Candy was at least thoughtful enough to make these two buttons harder to accidentally push (in case your thumb slips off the D-pad), but this also makes them slightly harder to intentionally push, which can be a problem during a fast action game. Overall, this isn't the worst Wii remote to play sideways with, but in this case, I really do wish that Rock Candy had stuck with the original layout. In the end, I think this is the worst Rock Candy controller I've ever used -- but don't take that to mean it's bad; far from it! The d-pad and buttons feel more than fine to use, the build quality is as excellent as I've come to expect from Rock Candy, and of course there's that snazzy translucent design that I love so much. Heck, for motion controls, I think I might prefer it over even the official remote! Sadly, it falters when it comes to sideways gameplay, and that is pretty disappointing; the Nyko remote will always be my go-to for that specific situation. Otherwise, though, I'm pleased. This is the first time a Rock Candy product has ever let me down, and even then, it goes a long way towards making up for that letdown by being awesome in every other respect.

Good Aftermarket Controller
Works great with the Wii console. The device has decent build quality and just as accurate compared with the oem controller. The only con for me is that the plus and minus buttons are on the side and flush with the device. This makes it hard to push without looking at the controller.

) I was not very happy with them
I bought these because they were the cheapest ones I could find and let's face it I am a cheapskate. :) I was not very happy with them. I spent about 20 minutes just trying to get it to sync to the Wii. It was having difficulties. Finally I got it to sync and then while playing a game it un-syncs which is super annoying. Every time it does this I have to pop out the battery and push it back in. Once I do this, it usually fixes the problem for awhile but it is super annoying. It is what it is... and when you purchase cheaper items you usually get what you paid for. I wouldn't buy them again but they will work for the time being. I can't really recommend this product but if you want to not spend a lot and you know going into it that there might be problems with it then by all means pick this one.

Keeps making the WII turn off
I bought 3 of these, The first one I removed seemed to pair fine and work just ok. The second one I opened took much longer to pair (about 2 minutes) and the WII kept turning off every time we tried to use both of them together, or either of them along with an original remote. I didn't even bother getting the 3rd one out of the package. According to some forums I read, if you don't have a Nintendo approved device, this may happen. I took the batteries out of both, and the 2 original remotes worked just fine. I'll have to find another option.
