Works! Works! Works!
We built a new house 9 years ago and painted the roof of our front porch sky blue to deter birds. Sparrows came EVERY spring and built nest, sometimes 2, every year. Such a nuisance and we tried everything. We put these up last spring and I love them. Well worth every penny we paid for the spikes. No more sparrows flying around your head every time you walked out the front door and no bird poop when sitting outside. They are wonderful. For two years we are enjoying our front porch. Easy to install. The only thing we had to do was snip off one edge of the spikes so they would sit flush to the top of the ledge and the wall. I also used some Alien Tape and they are all still holding strong. Thank you Bird B Gone!!

Works To Keep Robins From Landing On The Railings
Ten foot-long pieces of clear plastic bird spikes that work very well to keep the birds off the deck railing without hurting any of them. This year a tough gang of robins have decided that sitting on the white deck fence and pooping was the way to go. Literally. What a mess - especially this past week where they seem to have found lots of reddish berries to eat. I tried shooing them away but, somehow, every time I looked there was yet more to clean up. I first bought one box of these spikes and they do work to keep the robins off the railings - where ever there is a spike and they can't land! However, those stinkers now just land in between the foot-long pieces and make their berry-stained messes. So I've bought another box and will fill in the spaces for 20 total feet of spikes. Hope this makes them go back to the trees! Each foot-long piece has 8 pairs of clear plastic 4 1/2" long spikes. The pairs of spikes alternate tilting slightly towards one side and then towards the other so the birds really can't find a large enough space to land. Each piece has 4 holes in the base that can be used to permanently attach the spikes with screws or nails, but I used some thin string and tied each piece to the railing in two spots because I don't want to ruin the railings. The string works just fine. This is a promising solution to a messy problem.

The Birds like it too!
For the most part, it seems to keep the birds away and from nesting, etc. This little guy in the picture thinks it's a great place to hang out and peck at my window though :)

These things work!
I had birds building nests on the trim at the tops of my windows. (In the photo I do not have the spikes up yet.) After cleaning the nest off I cleaned the topper well and used Gorilla double sided tape to install. This is the second story window and I wasn't comfortable getting on a ladder so I did it from the inside. Not easy but got it done. The window top is close to the roof line and the spikes were a little long. I used side cutters to shorten them just a little, being sure to cut them on an angle to keep them sharp. Have not had any birds nests since I installed these spikes. You can't see them from the ground unless you look for them. Good riddance bird nests!
