Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts

This is a good value weather stationwhich provides a lot of information on the screen.

This is my second Ambient PWS. I received this as a Christmas gift. Easy to run through the instructions but the user should use the video based tutorial rather than the printed instructions. Accuracy seems perfect but I had to spend a bit of time calibrating the baramoter. I would recommend this model for any weather enthusiast.

It was quite easy to set up. The biggest problem was deciding where to put it. Nowhere is ideal. It is a shame they do not include a pole and fixings. The console is quite hard to read unless you are looking down at it. After about a month it no longer communicated with the apps on my iPhone or Mac computer. I contacted support who sent me the instructions for setting up the wifi connection. This worked. But no explanation why the wifi connection had been lost. I hope this is not a regular problem. I was disappointed to see that ambient only gave a 1 year warrenty whereas the other weather stations listed had warranties of 2 or 5 years. There is leaflet offering an extended warrenty. However this costs £25. I was interested in getting an extra sensor for £29.25. But with shipping from the USA and tax this cost rose to £63.15. Finally I am not sure if it automatically calibrated its pressure sensor. So for these reasons I have deducted 1 star. Also it has again lost its wifi connection. It is quite tedious re-setting up the wifi connection.

Having reported to them that this item has been supplied to the UK with only an American 2 pin plug their response is go and buy something to change from 110 volts to 240 volts.!!! This is not good, if you order something from Amazon in the UK you should expect the item to arrive in the correct format to use it in the UK. I now have an expensive item that is useless unless I spend time and money trying to find something to get it to work!! Very Very poor service avoid!!! Edit Its now 3 months and the seller hasn't resolved the issue so I have spent over £300 on an item that is useless. Amazon should allow a retailer to sell to a UK buyer a product that will never work in the UK but I suppose Amazon have my £330 so why would they care. No wonder JEFF BEZOS looks so smug when on TV!!!

The functionality of this station is great, but it's not suited for rough weather. It took barely two months of winter weather on the Western Isles (Scotland) and half the sensor array doesn't work anymore (did all the resets, fresh battery yada yada). Water has seeped into the battery compartment, causing rust there, and I can only assume that the rest of the device has also been soaked. I can only recommend this product for use in a tranquil, gentle-rain kind of environment.

Werkt perfekt en nauwkeurig. Zeker een aanrader, let wel, als je extra sensoren aankoopt op hun website in the US, zoals ik deed, die werken op een andere frekwentie (910 MHZ) dan dit basis-station (868 MHZ) dat je in Europa aankoopt, spijtig. De bliksem-melder die ik besteld heb in de US is NIET bruikbaar in Europa. Verder uitstekend spul.

Compre la estacion meteorologica "ambient wather" por que soy un aficionado a los eventos meteorologicos y siempre estoy checando el tiempo (clima) a parte porque vivo en una ciudad pequeña al norte de veracruz mexico. y no hay aparatos de este tipo. Lo compre a principios de diciembre del 2020, llevo un poco mas de 6 meses usándolo y estoy muy contento, este aparato te sirve para checar varias cosas, la temperatura máxima, mínima, humedad, lluvia, viento, radiación solar, de dentro y fuera de la casa, crea un historial el cual puedes ir viéndolo con la pantalla que trae y lo puedes configurar y compartir datos hacia la pagina de "ambient wather channel", quizá esto sea lo único malo la configuración es un poco enredada pero nada complicada, además necesita estar conectado a Internet para poder verlo donde sea. El lugar donde vivo es cerca de la costa y es muy extremoso , asi que me permite ver y saber el clima real en mi ubicacion, tambien te da un pronostico a corto plazo pero hay que saber leerlo. comparto imagenes.
