My hair gets oily quickly, especially when working out. I don't like to wash my hair everyday because it is both colored and I know it doesn't need it, especially since having a baby. I've tried a lot of other dry shampoos and they seem to work when I apply them (which is usually at night before bed or right after a shower) but by morning, my hair seems to be the same as before. I tried Drybar Detox after a couple of recommendations from friends and other people. I was super surprised after using it the first time, my hair seemed like it wasn't oily but also wasn't a weird texture from being dried out. This was the first time using a dry shampoo that worked like (I thought) it was supposed to. A note of caution though, a little goes a long way. With other dry shampoo, I've had to use a lot just to make it seem like my hair wasn't completely disgusting. I used the same amount the first time and it was definitely a bit too much. First, my husband commented on the strong smell. We both agreed it smells nice, but going to bed right after spraying it, it was a bit overwhelming. Second, when I woke up, I still had some of the white streaks from the night before. I do have thin/fine hair so that may be it. But just test with a small amount in little bursts rather than big sprays. Otherwise, I'm super happy. While initially I thought the price was high, I'm convinced that it is 100% worth it since I only have to use it 1-2 times a week in between showers.

Like most women in the 21st Century, I make it through the week by the grace of coffee and dry shampoo. I have tried many brands, types and price points of dry shampoo, and had a brand I was reasonably satisfied with...until I gave Drybar Detox a try. After spraying it onto my mildly greasy roots and working it into my thick, wavy locks with my fingers, my first thought was, "What is this sorcery?" The mane I saw reflected in the mirror looked volumized, un-greasy, and texturized in that perfect "style-blogger-hair" kind of way. I have thick hair and struggle to maintain volume, period, but especially as a day or two of grease sets in. At the same time, I go as long as possible between washings (5-7 days) for the sake of my hair and my schedule. Call me greedy, but I want clean-looking, volumized hair *and* the convenience of making it through the work week with just one hair-washing. This product makes all of that possible and more. Using Drybar Detox, my heat-styled waves from Monday look better on Wednesday and even Friday (with zero curling rod touch-ups, mind you) than they did on day one. And the volume just keeps on giving. Also, I used this stuff only once, and found I did not have to apply it for the rest of the week. This will allow me to use much less dry shampoo than I was previously using with another brand, meaning I can justify the higher cost of this product. The quality and results are so superior that I can unequivocally say this product is worth its price. Also, as some reviews have noted, this product sprayed out kind of white at first (I have brown hair), and I was skeptical. But as it absorbed and as I worked it into my roots, the white, powdery look vanished completely. Not to mention, my husband came into the bathroom just to ask what smelled so good. (Hint: it was the dry shampoo, original scent.) Color me sold!
