QWORK Solenoid Relay, 12V 250A Winch Relay Solenoid Replacement Contactor for 3000-5000lbs ATV UT Winch Control

This solenoid worked great for my habor frieght 2500lbs wireless remote winch. My winch stopped working from the remote. I swapped the solenoid out and it is back to working great again.

Works properly no problems so far. Just not a direct replacement for my unit.

Easy to wire up and worked well with no issues. Has the same flipity flopity as another review. Hopefully it last a while. If not, it was cheap enough not to worry really.

This reversing relay has small studs with 10 mm nuts- 6 mm studs I believe. The two internal relays are operated by the each one of the outer spade terminals being either energized or grounded to the center terminal. The solenoid terminals do not appear to require a certain polarity so either positive or negative control is possible. The default seems to be ground control since a pigtail between the center pin to the positive battery stud is included. A wiring diagram is not included but the arrangement of power supply was good for my situation: The positive and negative terminals are alternated to the two motor terminals by energizing one solenoid at a time. If both solenoids are energized simultaneously, the unit will not short out. This is meant for a two wire reversing motor where battery power and ground are only provided to motor through this relay, not three wire motors where the ground is provided directly from motor to battery.

Works as described

It works well. The only issue i had was that the body of the solenoid was thicker than the original on my travellerx 10000 lb winch. The top cover would not sit flush to the lower body and I had to notch the cover plate out for this to work. If I cared more about the winch I would have returned the unit for one that fit correctly. But for what I use it for, a bit of modification didnt bother me. I put waterproof tape over the open cover hole that was needed to fit the solenoid.

Funktioniert

Easy swap out. A few millimeters shorter than my WARN controller. Fits no problem in the previous location. Operates my 3000 lb rated ATV no problem. No instructions but easy to figure out. Connection tips: - The POS and NEG markings are for the battery hookups. - The other 2 unmarked posts are for the winch motor. Wire order does not matter. - The middle flat tab has a wire connected to the NEG post and I kept it there. The other 2 tabs are for your winch switch connectors. If the winch operates in the reverse direction, swap the switch connectors.
