These flash cards were amazing!! They taught my daughter how to do her multiplication/division.

This is listed as a toy, but you are undoubtedly aware it is an educational tool. I recently attended conferences for my twin 10 year-olds (fourth graders) and both their teachers mentioned they need improvement on their multiplication facts. The reason is that in third grade they were taught only that multiplication is the same as serial adding and they were never taught their multiplication tables. I was very irritated by this last year and had them work on memorizing the tables anyway, but over they summer much of that disappeared. However, my son's teacher said to try flash cards and mentioned these specific ones and now I see why! They not only teach them multiplication (just cover the top number with your hand) but also division (cover either of the bottom numbers with your hand)! And when you do each of the corners at the same time, it reinforces the link between multiplication and division, how the three numbers are linked in both directions. There are probably more high-tech ways to learn this stuff...heck, I love technology...but sometimes something simple and inexpensive can work just as well and this is one of those cases.

Good for centers.

These are good cards and helpful with both multiplication and division. I would have given them 5 stars however, it's difficult to really "flash" them and work for fluency and speed because, my clever little guy can see the answers if you don't keep them on your lap and carefully cover the corner with the answer. All of this takes a little fumbling and slows down the process. However, they are good for helping with division and early pre-algebra concepts. 21/3=7, 7x?=21).

Really helpful for flash review

The NOTCH at the bottom, which no other brand has, make these three-corner flash cards the quickest, easiest cards for anyone to use. When these cards are dropped, because of the notch, it takes no time at all to gather them into a pile that is ready to use. Also, the colors are really bold and bright. The products are one color and the factors another color. As a classroom teacher, I have tried cheaper brands and even making my own, but no longer. TREND’s Three-Corner Flash Cards are the best way to help students learn their facts. Children can use these alone, in pairs, or in groups. I even show my parents how to use these cards so they can them at home. Oh, and MY STUDENTS LOVE THESE CARDS!!!!! They are so excited when their parents, or Santa, gets them a set for home.

My 9-year-old granddaughter was struggling with learning multiplication. These triangular flash cards allowed me to cover one number and she would have to remember what it was from the other two. She learned the relationship between the three numbers which then made division easy.

Great for leaning multiplication and division
