Perfect for Middle School Too!
The book was short and to the point to keep Middle Schoolers engaged. I used it for a "Why we use Planners" lesson the first wek of school. All kids love to hear a story!

We've already had some meaningful conversations about planning as a family.

but after reading the story it wasn't a very good fit, in my opinion
I purchased this book to use for a classroom lesson on goal setting, but after reading the story it wasn't a very good fit, in my opinion. It is very wordy and not relatable for younger students. I think this book will work better in a smaller group setting for older elementary students, and I plan to use it in a leadership group for 5th graders. I normally enjoy books by Julia Cook, but this is one that I probably wouldn't have purchased if I had been able to read it in advance.

Very wordy for kids, Its authority-figure adult encourages her son to be more like his cousin.. This is not effective parenting.
