It's difficult to review supplements like this one, with nebulous claims about "boosting" immunity. I am always sceptical of reviews that say things like "I have more energy" or "I felt a measurable boost of immunity", and other such claims, because It's hard to say it makes any notable difference on a day to day basis, but instead must be assessed over time. Since taking this, I've noticed pretty much nothing. But that's the point. I hope to get through the winter without getting a cold (or at least getting over it quicker), and look back in six months time still noticing "nothing".

On 2/3/2013 my 11 year old dog was diagnosed with cancer consisting of a very large mass in his abdomen and a spot on one of his lungs. I had taken him to the vet because he refused to eat (and he's food obsessed!) and was lethargic. The vet even mentioned immediate euthanasia as an option but my dog is very special to me and I decided to take him home and spoil him rotten (like he already wasn't!) for his remaining time. I was pretty much resigned to just taking care of him until his time to leave this world arrived. Then I decided it was not time to lay down and die but to fight this cancer with him. I researched and found that Fucoidan had shown some promise as a cancer fighting agent, along with flaxseed. I purchased this brand of Fucoidan and Bob's Red Mill organic ground flaxseed. My [now 12 year old] dog has been receiving one capsule of Fucoidan and 1-2 tablespoons of flax seed every day since about the middle of February. He has steadily improved and his food obsession returned within a couple weeks. There hasn't been one day since he's been on this regimen that he has refused to eat. He is in no pain and even prances around like a puppy. I'm am so grateful that he feels well and I have made his life with cancer better. I don't know if the cancer has slowed or disappeared, but I do know he is once again enjoying life and 6 months after his diagnosis he's still with me. I won't be without Fucoidan for him and have had to replace my supply several times when I thought all I'd ever buy is one bottle. I'm not sure if it's the Fucoidan or the flaxseed, or the combination of both, that have helped him live a normal old dog's life, but I'm also not willing to stop the Fucoidan or flaxseed to find out!
