Saved my 25 year old hot tub
This was my desperate last chance to fix a leak that had started in my 25 year old hot tub. I was skeptical about this product solving my problem but figured it was worth the gamble to save the tub. Well, it worked great and hasn't leaked again for over a month now.

The Real Deal!
I followed directions to the T and...@#%*! THIS STUFF WORKS!! As a repair tech I'm well familiar with "stop leak" products used in many industries. Some work better than others and exact circumstances can make all hit or miss. I was actually pretty skeptical about the ability of a working solution (punintended) to fix my good ol' 4-person hot tub, the victim of a winter power failure that caused freezing in the water lines. That would be a fatal condition for most tubs, but NOT the hard-won "portable" tub that I vowed I would never try moving again in my lifetime. Not that there's all that much of that remaining, but all the more motivation to bring my beloved "Think Tub" back to life. So, after rebuilding the heater (too old and costly to replace) and replacing the pump, it was with INDESCRIBABLE sadness I discovered the tub was leaking water from points unknown at rate that would make it more suited as a planter. My indefatigable nature--exacerbated by $200 repairs already expended--led me to Fix-a-Leak. Reviews were surprisingly positive, but even if it wasn't snake oil I didn't have much confidence it would work for my potentially sieve-like tub. After some reflection I decided I could spring for another $22 before crying "uncle!" May well have turned out to be the best $22 I've ever spent! It took me 3 months to garner enough courage and emotional fortitude (oh, and time) to carry out the steps required to check the stuff out. Had I opened the bottle immediately I may have been encouraged enough to try sooner, when the weather was more conducive to the company's online "warm weather" instructions. No matter, they provide instructions for freezing weather as well and those are the ones I followed. Admittedly between those instructions and the actual liquid characteristics I was encouraged. It made sense. The solution is viscous enough, and obviously contains particulates, probably rubberized, that, when well-suspended in the tub water, could coagulate at the leak points and, eventually, HOPEFULLY build up to the point of flow stoppage. In my case, THOSE LITTLE BUGGERS DID JUST THAT! After a single treatment using the 1/3 bottle recommended for a hot tub, the leakage appeared to be completely stopped. The manufacturer mentions that without the drying-out period that is infeasible during cold weather I may need to re-apply come Spring. No worries. There are still 2 applications left in my bottle. Maybe I'll be motivated to update this review down the line. For now I have no compunction about giving this product my unreserved recommendation for pools and hot tubs. I'm a believer!

It worked!
It worked great on my large hot tub. I would lose a substantial amount of water in just a day. I added about a quarter of the bottle, following directions. Leak stopped. Has been about two weeks, with no appreciable loss

Good, inexpensive temporizing fix
works well but needs to periodically be re-applied. Follow directions very closely. Still some leaking, but very managable.

Great and amazing product
I have an old hot tub and have leaks every year since owning it for 5 years. Last year I had 2 techs out who both said it's time for replacement, and didnt want to really give any other suggestions or help. Decided to try this and another product; the first one did nothing, but this one, however, fixed all leaks on the tub. This product is the best and works on all leaks. had a couple of small ones and one major one that leaked a constant drip when jets were on, after using this, the leak stopped completely. 10 out of 10.

Didn’t work for me
This did not stop the small leak in my 500 gallon hot tub. It loses approximately 1/2” monthly. I ended up using the entire bottle, 1/3 for three days. I called the company to confirm the instruction on the bottle and what I had read online concerning how to apply the product. I received a call a few days later from a company rep. He told me I was supposed to leave hot tub idle between the high and low jet instruction. The bottle specifically says alternate between high and low jets for 4 to 6 hours and repeat if necessary the following day. It says nothing about idle time.He told me I was to assume there was idle time between the transfer of the two speeds for the jets. Had I known this per instruction from label, it could have made the difference between success and failure. They need to add this information to the instruction on the bottle. In the end, I spent three days alternating jets for 4 to 6 hours and I still have the leak.
