Maxxair (00-04000K) 12V Roof Top Fan/Vent

I purchased this fan for my Class B, it worked for two days. The next day, it turned on by itself and never stopped. I had a technician look at it, turned out the circuit board went bad and needed to be replaced for 50$ approximately. I can't return the item sadly cus it has been installed already. I managed to buy it for half price, no one wonder why it happened.

Not working

I installed this in my RV while at a Rock festival. It was very hot out the one day at the festival with no wind. I opened up one window and turned the fan on high and it felt like a breeze was coming through the window. Works great! (Although my wife who is a little vertically challenged would have preferred the one with the remote.)

Product looks great, and worked well for about a month, until something changed. Now when I turn it on, the fan starts spinning for a few seconds before it stops and the machine starts beeping loudly for a minute. I've read all the troubleshooting suggestions on the internet and tried multiple things to reset and fix it, but nothing has worked. I didn't do anything to effect the fan or circuit board in any way. I believe the circuit board needs to be replaced which I have contacted Maxxair about, but I'm not optimistic since I ordered it through Amazon. Take caution. Once you cut the hole in the roof and install the fan, you want to be sure it works! Having an opening in the ceiling isn't that bad, but I could have done it much cheaper myself.

Tthis is the best fan i have ever seen. Period. Incredibly easy to install and very high quality plastics used throughout. It runs very quietly and very efficiently. Total draw (measured on high) was 4.1 amps and the amount of air it moves in astonishing. It can clear a "hotboxed" 30 foot RV in less than thirty seconds on "high"! (wink wink) one of the best upgrades i have made ! If you are debating on getting this or the fantastic fan, this is the clear choice. The price is much cheaper and it is a much better fan with a better everything. This is what you want!

L’installation a été facile. Je la laisse tourner a basse vitesse pour produire une circulation d’air. Mais, elle produit un petit bruit comme si l’hélice n’était pas tout à fait balancée. Mais, à haute vitesse je n’ai pas ce problème. Mais, recommande ce produit. Cela ne fait que 2 semaines que je l’utilise. Nous verrons après un an d’utilisation.
