Reasonable minds might differ as to whether these chairs are comfy enough to use as dining chairs that see a lot of use, but they are VERY easy to assemble and seem sturdy. Good looking, too. No wood glue needed, all pieces fit together perfectly and snugly, but you do need a Phillips head screwdriver to put in the screws on the crosspiece; otherwise the Allan wrenches work fine for the screws with washers. Tip: Easiest to assemble if you put the chair back upside down on a couch and do the assembly from above.

These chairs are so great! They were half way assembled when they arrived and that made them easy to set up. They are also very sturdy and look beautiful <3 Note: I would recommend using a drill to assemble them instead of the Allen wrench it comes with.

I wish I had read the reviews about the legs not aligning properly before ordering/assembling myself. The chairs are beautiful but there are definite manufacturing flaws. The support piece cannot be installed with a screwdriver, as directed, due to the holes being drilled incorrectly. I had to use a drill to get the pieces to attach which ended up splitting the wood on one chair. Although the chairs are beautiful and comfortable, this defect makes them not worth the price.

I really like these chairs and how they fit around my table. They are sturdy, comfortable to sit on, and great value for the money. There is some assembly required but it’s not terribly difficult. Highly recommend!

I love the look of these chairs but unfortunately the support bar is pre drilled holes are not right on all 6 chairs I purchased. Part D. The screw does not drill in to the cross bar pre-drilled holes. They are off on every single chair. So you either have to make an additional hole for the screw and hope you don’t splinter the wood (like I did on one chair) or just add wood glue so it holds. Poorly designed and manufactured.

Do not buy these chairs!! I have returned them for the second and final time. The first time I returned because the screws in the tension bar across the bottom do not align with the pre drilled hole that go into each piece of the leg. The hole is in the dead center of the legs, but the pre drilled hole for the screw is on a slant across the tension bar. I called customer service to see if it was something I was doing wrong-but after seeing multiple reviews here that have the same issue, it’s definitely a manufacturing flaw. She said that I probably had a defective set and I returned them for a replacement. When the replacement arrived, the spindle of the seat came cracked. Do not recommend these at all unless you want to have to drill new holes into the legs of these chairs, or you want unsteady and loose tension bars.

I bought 3 sets of these chairs for a total of 6. I give the shipping packaging an A+ I wish everyone packaged and shipped their products with this much care. The overall look of chairs get an A. They look exactly as pictured and as expected. However, the ease of which to assemble the chairs gets a C-. The issue is with part D ( if you purchase) which is the center spindle wood pc that connects the two legs together . The pre drilled holes are not centered correctly making it impossible for that pc to stay connected. It kept popping out of the holes . Only 2 of the 6 chairs could be completed with no issues. In the end I had to re -drill holes and use wood glue to keep this part in place. I’m hoping all of the chairs will stay together because they’re really a nice looking chair.

This review is after having (4) of the black chairs for almost two years. They are sturdy for two young children to be climbing up and down, heavy enough to hang heavy blankets on the back of them and they will not fall over. I scrub them with sponge and they come clean, no chips of paint coming off. They are nicer than any big box stores similar chairs. No problems putting them together. Buy them they’re perfect!
