I really appreciate the smaller grommet selection, because to use in clothing design you don't want big holes. Just disappointed that small grommets do not have the other ring side like the bigger grommets come with sometimes. This lets the small grommet pull off fabric because there is no support and strength without the second ring. But I still like the kit, the number included, the setting unit, and the price. Definitely worth trying out.

Love the different colors! Great for journal binding and other things I’m sure. Easy to use and the quality is nice!

So, they work, really well. They're sturdy grommets and the back isn't perfectly solid like the front, but it's smooth which is more than good enough for me. However, there's no instructions so it's trial and error for first time users. So, when you're setting the grommet you load it in facing up, so the back end that gets curled over and the washer are against the big flat part of the hammer set. You also want to make sure to use the provided tool set and keep the spindle in the opening because it will collapse in on itself.

Nice grommet kit, was able to repair a leather vest and old pair of leather hiking boots.

These work well on 3 layers of marine vinyl (about 3mm thickness total. The front sides look perfect, and the back works well on the 4th try. (I think you have to put the back ring on the other way round and it centers itself better? These images are from the very first try with the product. I would buy again.

The hole punch tool is NOT sharp. Wouldn't even cut paper cleanly---resulted in jagged torn edge. Had to keenly sharpen and strop it to be make a clean sharp cut edge in paper and cloth material. The grommet setter functioned okay---when hit with a metal hammer/mallet. Sometimes I had to rehammer it so the washer was secure and not leave any gap. The barrel on some of the grommets, did not roll over---and sharp edges remained. Any sharp edges will result in damaging of the cord/rope, when threaded thru the eyelets. Use a small ball peen hammer to insure the back-side is smooth---and snag free. These problems will occur with cheaply made and manufactured grommets. If you desire a high quality end product, invest in better grommets. I have a large varity of several other manufactured grommets---the end result if flawless. NOTE also, the pin in the die, is too small in diameter, (very loose fit), which results too much play(slop), and results in the barrel and washer not properly joined. FWIW (for what its worth), the setter tool needs to be held firmly, and at 90, for the washer to be flush and the barrel curreled over properly.
