This Artisians lamp is quite adequate if you can tighten the knobs enough to control it. It was easy to assemble and and the clamp seems very stable with a non-slip pad. The head does not rotate to point at the ceiling, which I enjoyed with my old lamp when I didn't want light in my eyes. This lamp covers several areas in my room, and works well.

This lamp is pretty basic. It's a replacement of a similar lamp which broke after 20 years. At first I thought the base was immovable, it turned out it was just a little stiff, I could pull the arm flat and it can reach below my desk. Light bulb not included, but it's better for me, because I use LED light. The clamp is pretty strong, much stronger than my old lamp which was made of plastic. The box came with two extra springs, they are not backups, they are to be put on the center of the arm.

I bought 2 of these. The metal plate on one of the leg clamps arrived broken (weak spot weld). The plastic screws holding the arms are really cheap. They'll come loose if a mild breeze blows on the lamps. I wish they were made of a more sturdy material. I can't imagine they'd last very long if you're constantly moving the lamps. I use mine with grow lights for my plants so I never move them. I just had to use a bit of redneck engineering to make them a bit more rigid or they'd constantly drop lower over time. I'm generally happy with my purchase though, despite these two problems. I've had them for close to a year and they're still standing strong. They were fairly inexpensive also.

Bueno, bonito y barato. La calidad me pareció muy buena, leí reseñas sobre la pinza que se rompía con presión, en mi caso la pinza es de metal así que mientras no le ejerza una presión excesiva debe mantenerse fijo y firme. En cuanto a la iluminación si recomiendo un foco de máximo 3.5w pues por la altura que alcanza el área que cubre es muy amplia y en un escritorio un foco mayor resulta exagerada la iluminación y por consiguiente molesta. Actualmente tengo uno de 4.5w led philips y me parece perfecto aunque quizás si necesite ligeramente más atenuación, depende de cada quien que uso quiera darle.
