While not essential, a very handy tool for getting your hinge slots centered

Received this today, on time and have not used these tools yet, they are well made and a nice addition to my aircraft modeling tools. Have fought aircraft hinge slots for years and don't know why it took me so long to buy these. Look forward to using them and will update review when I do.I can tell you that Du-Bro puts out quality products from their years of experience and I'm sure this is no exception.

Works OK, not sure if I could have done any worse freehand but it does work

This is my 2nd set of these slot cutters. The material is way too soft. The points bend very easily. A bit of hidden hard grain causes them to veer off. I've found a very pointed Xacto knife on each side of the slot and a straight plunge Xacto followed by a small pull saw works much better.

i liked the guide for the edge so you can place the hinge slot where you need it, i did not like the rocking the knife back and forth trying to get it through the balsa so it can be glued, the rockin causes the blades to bed, once bent they will not stay straight, they are pretty much useless now.
