Opening is not big enough
I wouldn’t call these “extra large”. The opening is not much bigger than other cheap banding tools here on Amazon. Can’t fit buck’s balls through the opening. Should work fine on kids though.

Large opening
I bought these to band my adult goats horns. The bands were extra thick and this tool held up and did the trick.
