Battery for Sony Mavica cameraGreat works in my camera

This battery fits into the sony mvc 73 a bit too snug. I had to bang the camera from the top with my hand to remove it several times, but it got out. That being said, I sanded down the sides with 100 grit sand paper until the prongs were flush with the edges, we are talking like maybe a few millimeters down of sanding, nothing too crazy. After this, it still too tight in the compartment, but only takes one good ol smack from the top of the camera to get the battery out, without much force.BE WARNED if you're buying this for your MVC-73, it will not fit as nice as the original battery.

Like - they charge and hold a charge. Long battery lifeDislike - they fit in camera too tightly, they do not eject by themselves, i use a velcro strip to battery to remove it...It shouldn't be difficult to get out of camera it should eject it..but the velcro works to remove battery.

I bought this on a whim and did NOT read all the other reviews. My fault I guess but this battery says it works for the FD73 and it does not. It provides power, sure, and that part of it works flawlessly, but unless you want to take apart your camera, you now have a disposable camera. The battery fits in snugly, but is completely impossible to get out without disassembling the camera. I cannot vouch for other camera models but for the MVC-FD73, do NOT buy this battery.

It put new life into my Mavica camera which hasn't been used for 10 years

This product works with my ‘97 Mavica!It’s an old battery design, so don’t expect it to wow you with its battery life. It gets the job done, and that’s what’s important.

It replaced the battery for the Sony Digital Mavica MVC-FD73. Its not a prefect fit I'll admit, I got to shake it out of the camera. This battery is not the original sony battery so I expected some very teeny tiny differences like the 2900MAH size of this one vs the original Sony battery is only 700MAH.
