Pentel EnerGel Alloy Retractable Liquid Gel Pen, Red Barrel, Black Ink, 1 pack (BL407B-A)

I was looking for a new everyday pen that was stylish, but more importantly wrote well. And I have to say, that these G2 pens do that in spades. I like the colors and design of the body, and the functionality. I am very happy with this purchase.

Nice but looks pink instead of red. It was for a man so I returned it.

This will be for both pens (Red and Gold). These Pentel EnerGel Alloy are amazing roller ball pens! They just feel like floating on the paper and writing so smooth and fluid. Ink doesn't smear and is permanent. With a nice heft to the pen, doesn't feel like it will fly out of your hands. The colors are eye catching and beautiful (still want a Orange Alloy barrel... Pentel, you listening?) :) Only thing I didn't like, and this isn't about the pen but the shipment of them. Both were placed in a big box with the Red one in no packaging and has some marring because of being tossed around during shipment. Thankfully, the Gold one was in a box and secure inside that small box to not have any marring of the finish. And oh, the Gold one... you will get some people asking about that one! Very rich and vivid in color. Will get attention!

I purchased my pen and have been a happy camper. The pen arrived on time as per vendor's written statement. Carefully packed, no damage, ink tip covered by plastic ball preventing the ink from spilling. Price was worth it.

I now almost exclusively use my collection of Pentel Energel pens as my favorite handwriting instrument. The ink flows beautifully smooth with just the right amount of ink applied to the paper with no blotching or thickening of the lines. The metallic aluminum alloy barrel is beautiful to look at and very durable and lightweight. My wife bought my first one - dark blue - at Goodwill for $1.99 and I liked it so much that I now have collection of five. To me they are works of art. The color selection is extensive. I have dark blue, light blue, lavender, red and gold. My collection will not be complete until I get a green pen.

I gave this pen away as a gift. I have the silver one, and it performs well. It is all metal (Aluminum Alloy). It feels good in my hand. I am a right-hander, but it would be great for a South Paw also, as the ink dries almost instantaneously. Easy to refill with EnerGel refills, and it's a click pen, so it's easy to use. Well worth the price!

I'm a nurse and a good pen is really important. I love the feel & weight of this pen! I bought 2. The first day I dropped one pen and the top clicker broke. The other pen lasted a couple months - I dropped it and it would no longer work. The disposable pens are lighter (I like the heavier one) - but they don't break when dropped. I probably won't be spending the money on the nicer, heavier pens again.

Love these pens, like that they are refillable. Wish they would make more colors to correspond with all the ink refill colors. Good price and writes nice.

Die Pentel-Schreiber der Serie BL407 sind sehr gut verarbeitet, liegen sehr gut in der Hand und dank der Gel-Minen schreibt es sich wunderbar leicht und flüssig. Ich kaufte schon ein gutes Dutzend davon und benutze sie fast ausschließlich. Ist auch ein gutes Geschenk!

Bought the red alloy pen to use with red ink refills. The pen isn't red though. The pen was also sent without any protection apart from a thin, loose plastic sleeve Energel pens are fantastic nonetheless.

These pens are exceptional. If you like a heavy, nicely balanced pen this is the one for you. The ink quality is excellent well. The pens are great to write with and they are as close to writing with a fountain pen as possible. If you want a solid, durable, very functional pen this is the one for you. Amazon sells them in whatever colour you like. I replace the red pen with a red refill to replace the black one Pentel includes with the pen.

This pen is not as red as seen in the photograph, perhaps it was just mine but it was more of a dull dark pink. Otherwise the pen works as well as can be expected of a pen.

Love this pen. Writes really well, feels good in your hand. Solid pen. Have had a few of these and the click part of the pen almost always breaks after a few months.
