Good
Not failed me once yet. Helped me solve many car issues. Every car I've tried it on, it has worked. You do need to have a little knowledge to be able to use it well. Never had battery issues; it always charges, and because I don't use it a lot, it's always ready to go. It comes with a carry case that holds everything, including the cable and charger. Wireless OBD is a must if, for example, you're testing something to do with sensors like wheel sensors and things. You can view live data too. I have a convertible, and it even reads the roof computer and separate rear window ones. It will also make a file to print a health report for the car you're testing; I've used this, and it works well. I'm glad I got it, and I think it is worth the money. It's reliable, and the OBD has never failed to connect. It's not that hard to use, and generally, auto search will find the car.

Value for money.
I have spent quite a long time researching various semi professional DIY OBD scanners and for the cost this absolutely offers the best value for money. So far Ive used it on a handful of vehicles and it has always worked first time every time. It has an auto VIN search function which is great and very fast to identify the vehicle. From there it will then do a full system health diagnosis of the vehicle searching for active and historic saved fault issues. It just simply works and is a pretty quick device. Initial setup and ongoing updates are easy to do simply press on what you want updated and it downloads and installs automatically. Lifetime free updates as well. The whole device and it's software functionality are great. Bluetooth dongle rather than a cable makes using the device way more effective as you can have it wherever you need to be. Cannot recommend enough for the enthusiast who wants a decent level device without spending thousands. Also worth noting the Topdon website has a very easy to use vehicle checker to check vehicle compatibility.

Great modern obd
A very good cable free on board diagnostic machine. This obd also has wifi built it in and the obd socket is bluetooth. So everything is competely wireless. When switching the computer on the first time you will need the serial number and passcode to proceed. Which is in a card in the box. Once this is done you connect to your wifi and and the you can update all the software and any updates it has for vehicle models. This comes with free up dates for life! I have an older handheld obd. Which doesnt have wifi and I have to plug into a pc and update from there which is a hassle and time consuming. So this machine is brilliant for easy up dates. Everthing is touch screen on the device. Is charges via usb c, there is a plug provided with different country plug pins. There is a good tough case provided to store the machine. The obd socket is wireless with bluetooth. It charges when connected to the machine and on charge. Once you find your odb port in your car. You plug in and the machine will automatically find your car. It bleeps to remind you to remove the obd socket when you finish. My friends Vauxhall Insigna 17 plate had an Engine Management light come on. This found the code right away and said it was a clutch pedal fault which you can see pictured. This deleted the code and has not come on since. So this machine will pay for its self rather than going to a garage. Good value obd. With free updates for life. Very simple to use. All wirefree and updates though wife. Its one of the best obd's ive used for the price. Would highly recommend

Comprehensive diagnostic tool with free updates
I've used this for months now on cars and vans (all Ford's so far). Despite checking on Topdon's support site before buying, some basic functions such as service indicator reset didn't work on my car, though an update may have fixed it. Other functions like electric parking brake service position do work. Updates on my unit are supposed to be free for life so functions can be fixed or added. Fault code reading and reset works for everything so far. It's more than a fault code reader/reset tool but less than a full directed fault resolution and repair tool. You still need to understand what each system on the vehicle is supposed to do and how they interact to get the best out of the tool. A full (and very expensive) diagnostic tool is able to direct fault finding and has that knowledge built in - this one doesn't have it so you need to do it yourself. For example, it can show fuel rail pressure but if it seems wrong you need to know that you can test the rail pressure with fuel pressure gauge attached to the rail. Overall, I'm happy with it. It has saved me money and enabled me to help friends and family diagnose problems and decide what to do about them. Four stars because simple stuff that should work out of the box didn't.

This is the don
Where to start! Well here’s where to start the car started so major result! What a bit of kit this is. I’d been wasting money guessing and using YouTube as to what was wrong with the vehicle, had already got an inferior obd code reader but his is way way more, my car didn’t even have a check engine light on but one quick health scan with this bad boy and I’d got more faults than andy Murray! It’s very easy to use, gives loads of information, links you to YouTube for suggestions of fixes, generates reports for information or to send to garages and saves a whole lot of time and messing. I even recoded my injectors with it, definitely a must for all car enthusiasts and one of the best things I’ve bought. I always rate things on if I lost it would I buy it again! And in this instance yes I would. Tremendous value for money! One top tip tho once it’s scanned your vin and picked your vehicle it’ll give you a list of number / options. Took me a while to figure out this is asking you to pick which Ecu you have, it’s critical to have a look and pick the right one so the device can communicate and work properly, once I’d sussed this I was flying, oh and driving again!

TOPDON ArtiDiag800BT total con
To start with why is the Topdon 800bt reviews mixed in with the simple AL200 OBD scanner they sell for £25. One is a simple OBD scanner for £25 and the other a do all tool for £400+ I would think it is to mislead people into buying the more expensive tool which is £400+ I have 2 cars which are both Suzuki and on neither car would the auto vin work. Yes it has all the car makes listed which all looks good but just how many of its functions will work with each car. Very very few from what i found. To test out i tried 2 of the maintenance and service options and surprise surprise on both functions Suzuki was not listed, in fact the list of cars for the chosen functions was very very small. Yes they cover just about every car if used for a simple OBD scan which any scanner can do for under £20 but try and use any of the functions and very few makes and models are covered. Yes i did all the updates. I email Tomdon support friday and get a reply on Sunday to say they do not work weekends and will be back in touch when they start work. 3 days later still no contact. Watched a lot of utube reviews on this before buying and they were good and they include links to take you to Amazon to buy. Just how many of these reviews are honest? Not many i think and not surprised if they get the scanner free for a good utube review. Topdon support, what support? Total waste of money and a device costing a fraction of this could do the same job. Nearly all cars covered doing a scan but very very few covered if you want to use any of the other functions. Save your money unless you are after a £400+ paperweight. High amount of good amazon reviews are because they have linked their cheap scanner to the ArtiDiag800BT. Will be sending this back to Amazon as i feel i have been conned into buying this by Topdon. Update a week or so after leaving this review. Sent back to Amazon for refund- Thank you Amazon. Topdon support never did get back to me so dont rely on any support from Topdon. You can get the 800bt (same as this with lifetime updates) from a well know auction site for a buy now price of £250.

All in all great product.
The system is quick and easy to navigate across, connecting to a vehicle is very simple, and didn’t feel like it took forever to do so on the cars I have used it on so far. Updates for the available bands is a button press away. Also nice to see you don’t have to download every brand either especially if you don’t need it. Check for faults codes was simple roughly around 1-2mins read a car maybe more or less pending the amount of systems you need to read. Running live data is good as well, there’s a few seconds of delay but nothing major. Can also choose which data you want to see/record, although you have to exit then go back in if you want to change what live data your reading. Also noticed some metric/imperial readings do not change: Degrees C/F. Maybe they’ll be an update in the software at a future date. Being able to change the time to a 24hour format would be nice too. In regards to the feel and look, my only major gripe is the grip/handle where the OBD dongle sits I wish it was the same for the other side to even it out. You can flip the screen so there is a compromise. Maybe also a detachable strap of some kind would be good. Not sure if you can use a pen (stylus) have not tried. All in all, this is a great bit of kit and I am happy with the product, I hope a update to the firmware comes soon just to fix those little gripes. Would recommend to anyone in the trade.
