Joseph: King of Dreams

We’ve love me this film since my daughter was a child. Great songs and cast Well worth a watch if you haven’t seen it.

It is an amazing movie!

Joseph, Prince of Dreams, is a wonderful movie that I would like to recommend to all. I do not agree with other reviews stating that it is not up to par with the Prince of Egypt. Au contraire, I feel the storytelling is much more engaging and very well executed, the songs (many more than in Prince of Egypt) are beautiful, both score and lyric wise and the spiritual message is clearly present. My three year old daughter loves the movie and wants to see it over and over again. It's Disney material but with a Biblical message of God loving and empowering his people to stand in their Godgiven destiny. Furthermore the very competitive price makes it the best DVD deal I have ever had. I hope Dreamworks will dare to take on other stories of the Bible in the future.

Love this film. In my 50s and still love to watch it

I showed this film in our secondary school and kids just loved it. Many of them don't believe in God at all and yet, this film has made them think. This story is about suffering, jealousy, forgiveness, faithfulness, to mention just some. In fact, I think it is done better than the Prince of Egypt from the same production. The songs are profound which make even adults emotional. Excellent film for the whole family.

A really good movie for everyone. It has catchy music and a great story definitely a thumbs up. The kids enjoyed it too.

This movie was pretty emotional. I was moved of how Joseph was able to forgive his brothers; the very brothers who sold him. Joesph was the miracle baby and youngest of all. His Father, Jacob, took good care for him and gave him most affection. God had great plans for him hence the other brothers inevitable jealousy. But it teaches us that no matter how much pain someone causes in our hearts, we must love and forgive. God is love after all and he has a plan for each and every one of us, let us love one another for our Father to be proud of his children. Amen. As the animation it was well animated,but I would say Prince of Egypt was better animation wise. But all in all, a great movie that everyone should watch. God bless.

Watched with a group of 4-8yr olds And as they watched it there was laughter, gasps, tears and cheers. Such a great story!

Nice and educative! Actually, it teaches one to keep silent till you've accomplished it! To beware of even your own kin because the price of pride is high.

Very good songs, super singable and impressive lyrics - Sehr gute Lieder (auch zum Mitsingen) mit eindrucksvollen Texten! Story of Joseph is very good presented. The Dreams with Van-Gogh-like-animated-Pictures i like very much! Children could possibly be afraid of it (my son was 6 when he saw it for the first time) Die Geschichte von Josef ist verständlich erzählt. Die Van Gogh mäßigen Träume habe ich sehr gerne, Kinder könnten aber etwas ängstlich dabei sein (mein Sohn war 6, als er es zum ersten Mal sah) I think, it is better than "The Prince of Egypt" - Ich finde, der Film ist besser als "Der Prinz von Ägypten"!

We bought this dvd once the movie got out of Netflix and we wanted to re-watch it. The dvd's extras are a great plus, especially the sing-along versions of the songs in the movie.
