Proves to be as detailed
Very Good upgrade from our older model and seems to work very well on known diamonds that we covered with soil wet and dry to test. The real test will be going out Rock Hounding in Arkansas.

Love it
As a gear nerd. This is a good product. I don’t use the rechargeable 9v. You will have better results with just putting a high quality 9v in there. Didn’t see how controversial it would be but. Got zero problems, works great and reliable.

Accurate, Easy to Use, and Reliable!
I recently bought this diamond tester, and it has quickly become one of my favorite tools. It’s very easy to use, even for beginners — just turn it on, let it warm up for a few seconds, and you’re ready to test. The results are quick and precise, giving me full confidence when checking if a stone is real or fake. The indicator lights and sound alerts make it simple to read, and the accuracy is impressive — it correctly identifies real diamonds versus cubic zirconia and other imitations every time. The build quality feels sturdy and professional, yet it’s compact enough to carry anywhere, which makes it perfect for jewelers, resellers, or anyone who buys jewelry often. Overall, this diamond tester is a great value for the price. It’s reliable, easy to operate, and provides peace of mind when testing jewelry. I highly recommend it for both professionals and casual users who want to verify their gems with confidence!

Reads ok
Great for the budget, but I think there are better testers out there. It takes an average amount of time to charge, cant take a little long to warm up. Battery life is ok, but I've not tried using it for an extended period of time. I do not really like that you have to change the setting to read smaller stones vs larger stones. Maybe other testers function better. I plan on buying one a little more expensive just to compare the quality. I use is on diamond and moissanite for my WhatNot shop even though I've watched it tested on live shows. I want to make sure what I sell/resell is real quality. I had asked a few sellers what brand they use and many use this one. But i've been seeing different brands being used recently I'd like to try.

Doesn't work.
I finally got to use this a 2 months after purchasing, and it is defective. I've used them before but with this one the lights climbs up the scale without even touching anything. It doesn't matter if I have it sitting in an enclosed area, whether or not I am holding it, or moving the dial. Very disappointed, and my return window is closed....

A happy purchase for me. My new toy!
I will be testing every piece of jewelry now—haha! Nice little tool I will be taking out with me here shortly. I did test it out and it works great as long as you read all the directions. No gloves, don’t test metal and always make point of contact a 90 degree angle and it should work great! I’m very satisfied and can’t wait to pull it out of my purse when no one’s the least expecting me.

Oh my!
It really works!!! Charge battery first until green light ready to use. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and check room temperature- away from windows. Be sure to clean gems with cloth (remove dirt or oil) before you test them. When you are not using a diamond tester, remove battery. Always charge battery first whenever you plan to use a diamond tester. I can test moissanite jewelry from Amazon to be sure they are real! Yay

Cheaply made diamond tester that most of the time doesn't work
I tested out on my diamond ring from Tiffany and co., and it doesn't work the first couple times, then it works, but then it doesn't work again. It's really cheaply made. Will not recommended you to get it. Not trusting this item to rest it on diamonds.

Works great

Tried it on materials i previously knew hardness on and it actually seemed quite accurate. Hard to say how it will perform in the long run

I’ve had this product for a couple weeks now. I am very impressed. It has been 100% accurate thus far. The quality of the material has been held up as well. All in all I would recommend for the price point. It’s exactly as described.

The tester is not accurate. It shows the same signals whether you are testing diamond. Ruby or sapphire crystal. Same when I tested the glass on my watch and the lenses on my iPhone. The loupe is cheaply made and only works on tiny objects that have to be right under the glass. I have to find about the rechargeable 9v battery with time after using it repeatedly

If you buy jewelry from anyone, you now know with out a doubt if it's real or fake
