Love this. I use it for everything (in stainless steel pans, not non-stick). Fried egg? Burger? The wide slots drain the maximum amount amount of fat back into the pan, not on my plate. It's sturdy enough to handle all average use, and is no prima dona. The thinness of the edge slips under your food easily. Yep, the handle could be smoother, but at $8.00 - if I cared - I could quickly sand it myself! I leave it as is, the slight roughness means that even if I get oil on my hands, the spatula will not slip. Like all of my wooden utensils, the handle will last best with a quick oiling every few months. It's so light weight and cheap that I toss it in my suitcase if I'm going to do any cooking on vacation, too - either in kitchenettes or camping. The only limitation is that the handle is short - if I'm cooking over a fire that means the pan has to be removed from the fire before using it. I'm a compulsive cook - and after 60 years of cooking I've used the best and the not so good. This is a perfect tool - not flashy, not fancy, not expensive - and I've never found better for simple functionality. I've bought several - like my favorite cheap spurtles (the Baderke skinny), I give them away frequently - and my friends love them too. If you want elegance, this isn't it. If you want function and price, this is a huge winner.
