perfect for early grasping & mouthing
My son started loving this at 3 months old. A great early grasper, and also entertaining as babies learn cause/effect because the beads make a pleasant rattle sound as they slide. We have the popular o-ball as well, which is comparable for early grasping, however the skwish is superior because babies can put the beaded ends into their mouths which is very satisfying for their senses, whereas the o-ball is smooth and there is nothing to put in their mouth (this frustrated my baby immensely). It’s a pleasant toy to look at, it seems durable, and it’s larger than expected but still lightweight for the earliest grasping. My older children (4 & 2 years old) enjoying squishing it and so do I. It is worth the price and I will repurchase for friends!

Great toy to help your baby learn to grasp
This is a great baby toy, especially when your baby is learning to grab and pinch items. There are many places to grab and pinch! This toy is also flexible with the elastic that holds each piece together, so if you step on this toy (like I have), it will not break! Manhattan Toy is overall and safe and reputable brand. This is made of wood which reduces your baby’s exposure to plastic and is made with non-toxic paint so you have peace of mind when your baby puts this toy in their mouth! Definitely recommend.

Baby loves this toy
Newborn loves this toy and how the balls move on the lines.

Baby, loves it!
This toy is so neat. It was the first toy, my baby grasped. It is so easy to hold onto. It’s not a rattle in the sense that it has beads in it. The wood beads slide up and down and make a pleasant sound when hitting the wood at the end of the rods. I absolutely love it. This is one toy. I really wanted for my baby and it did not disappoint.

Small wooden parts
Probably a good toy. But for me the little round pieces are too small and it’s choking hazard if it’s brakes off.

Fun, Functional
This toy is a hit with my 7-month-old baby. It's a perfect combination of a teether and a rattle, providing endless entertainment without being too heavy for little hands. The vibrant colors and unique design make it an engaging toy that also supports grasping and motor skills development. Highly recommend for any baby looking for a fun and functional toy!

Very amusing, chewable, and FUN!
We all love this toy! I thought it looked cool after youtubing some videos of it, so decided to go ahead and buy one. Me and my husband played with it for a little while before even giving it to our daughter. She was about 4months when we gave it to her, and the first day she was amazed, spent the whole day playing with it. This toy is awesome because theres so many places she can easily grab it, and theres tons of wooden knobs, so it's easy for her to find one and get it in her mouth. She loves chewing on the knobs! It also makes lots of click clacking noises as it's being tossed around. She loves playing fetch with us with this thing, and she can toss it FAR! Now she smiles and kicks her feet in excitement when we're handing the toy to her. Great simple toy!

Probably my baby's favorite toy. We just don't know what to call it.
My little sister had one of these when she was a baby and I always thought it was kind of cool, so I was pleasantly surprised to see they're still available (and in pretty colors!) But it's not just my weird attraction to toys that look like "math and science" speaking - my baby loves this thing. Even when she was barely 3 months old just learning to grab things, this toy was easy for her to handle, and it's still one of the first things she'll reach for. She likes shaking it around, chewing on the ends, plucking the elastic, stretching and squishing it. Lately she's been trying to grab it with her toes. And do you know what? She can, because it's that easy to grab and hold on to. One thing I love about this toy is that the wooden beads make a soft, musical rattle that SOUNDS REALLY NICE. Sounds without being annoying = winning.

Perfect toy for my 3 1/2 month old baby. There is so many options for him to hold onto it and it really helps him practice is hand coordination, when he tries to put a specific part of the toy in his mouth. It is also big but light enough to leave beside him or put on his chest for him to get a hold of it by himself. He also loves to stare at it :) Bonus: it looks great, the quality is amazing and we really love the soft noise the beads produce when the toy is moved around.

We got this a few months ago and my little one (now 6.5 months) absolutely loves it. It's easy to grasp on to when they're first learning to hold toys, fun to chew on, and fun to squish once they understand that. It makes a fun gentle rattle sound as well. My baby chews on it and we haven't had any paint chip or anything. The elastics are in great shape still as well.

I really wasn't confident in my purchase of this toy! I've had other "Manhattan" toys though and liked them so I gave it a try. I don't know why, but every baby I'm around loves this thing. The bars and strings are easy for small hands to hold and It very light. My 3 month old loves to smack himself with it, and while it may "redden" his skin it doesn't appear to really hurt him. It also easily attaches to most teether clips so it can be easily strap to the carseat or toy bar and not get tossed on the floor!!! The only "negative" thing is it can be difficult to clean the inside bars - but they can be cleaned so I only took 1 star off! We love this thing - absolutely no regrets on this purchase!!!

I recently purchased this for my 3-month old daughter. She loves the soft sounds the beads make as they slide when she shakes it or turns it around. As she is getting to the age where she is putting things in her mouth I am happy that the toy is good quality and made with non-toxic paints and no plastic. We love the toy's bright colours and have gotten hours of play with it so far. Looking forward to many more hours of playtime with the Skwish!

My baby loves this toy. From the sound the wooden balls make as they slide on the rods to the squishiness and shape she is always engaged playing with this toy!
