Always been a fan of Lubegurd!! First time trying this product. I always been a fan of Shudder Fix , but my issue was much greater. I own a Ford Crown Victoria, I had the vehicle Transmission serviced, I thought they were gonna use Mercon V Transmission fluid, However they use a multipurpose ATF. After that I started having overdrive problems. So at first I use the combination instant shutter fix along with the synthetic ATF protectant ( Red bottle ). So using a pump through the dipstick transmission dipstick I pumped out about 2 1/2 quarts of transmission fluid replaced it with Mercon V and added Lubegard’s synthetic ATF protectant with instant shutter fix. Usually you have to give it time about 300 miles of driving for additives to blend in and do their work. This still did not solve my problem. The issue after researching and reading, was I needed to convert the multipurpose ATF into Mercon V. I needed to improve shift quality, and eliminate Torque converter shutter. I seen a bulletin that general motor uses 2 ounces per quart to eliminate something like this so I read up on lube guard platinum. I decided to give it a try before having to drain the whole transmission and replace 15 quarts of Mercon V. So again I drained 2 1/2 quarts through the dipstick, Replaced it with fresh Mercon V, I took into account 1 ounce per quart of Lube Gard Platinum ( Silver bottle) plus Lube Gard ( Green Bottle), And gave it a test run. It took a couple weeks to kick in I don’t drive that much. But after around 300 miles my problem went away. I do want to add that I usually do transmission fluid and filter service every 30,000 miles. And it was my mistake that I was trying to save a buck and went with a tire shop to do my transmission service rather than a Ford dealer which would’ve used the recommended OEM transmission fluid and avoid all this problem together. I hope this helps.

Put a 15oz bottle of LG Platinum in my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 truck. And the shifting thump went away after a week. Truck is a diesel with 170,000 miles on a 48RE trans.
